Because it’s not my age groups turn to being vaccinated for Covid, you’ve missed my point though, I’ll sack off my flu jab if someone older can have the Covid jab instead of me having a flu jab.

I'm not sure that you having the flu jab prevents or delays somebody having the COVID jab

Precisely just get the Covid jab into the older folk.

Its different people

When you get a covid jab, the odds are it wont be in your regular practice

so you getting a flu jab doesnt affect covid vaccing

They want people to have the flu jab to reduce the potential of people getting it and taking up resource and maybe beds if we get an outbreak

Had mine a few weeks ago  took 15 minutes from arriving to leaving

Just an extra precaution to keep pressure off NHS. No impact on vaccine roll out has been mentioned

I'm more of a dog-lover.

I've come around to family owned cats, but not the stranger owned little bastards who shit in my veg patch...

But to bond with a cat one should headbutt them, fact.

You need to assert dominance with cats.

The only way to do it is boot the cunt into a nearby canal.

If it makes its way home, you have established yourself as the alpha.

At that point you can either throw it in a bin or launch it across several gardens.

Is that professional advice from the wife?

It’s surely not beyond the organisational skills of the nhs and if directed by the medical experts to switch the person injecting from flu jab to a Covid jab.

Yeah - the data coming out from Israel looks like the pfizer one is definately reducing onward transmision - and reading between the lines, I think all the vaccine producing companies are almost certain that all he vaccines will prevent onward transmission to a large extent, they just dont have the data to prove it because it's nigh on impossible to prove conclusively, and so they won't publish it

The fact is,  if the virus stops someone "developing" covid, they aren't going to be expelling anywhere near the amount of viral particles (if any at all) into the air as someone with full blown covid, but they are more likely to be out and about, and measuring the amount of viral particles someone expells is difficult to say the least, but I'm 99% sure we will see correlation of the spread decreasing, especially in the older populations, very soon, everywhere that the vaccine is being rolled out extensively.

Absolutely. Pints all round on the horizon.

Don't they now have to be batch tested or something now? - My understanding, which is obviously very limited, is that even though they're in the country, they aren't ready to be stuck into people yet

Mhra has to approve each batch. Each batch has to go to Wrexham for filling into vials.

Hopefully there isn't a world vial shortage as has been stated on the odd occasion.

Are you sure?

Anyway, I can get a flu jab at our village chemist, I can't get a COVID jab there, and doubt I'll able to for a very long time -  I think that's the main point.  So, as my local pharmacist isn't able or indeed allowed to give me, or anybody else in our village a COVID jab, surely it makes sense for him to be doing something, especially as we have plenty of flu vaccines now.

I was offered a flu jab. Not bothering. I doubt there's little flu around and I'm not seeing anyone. Pointless in my view.

You'll be going for your covid jab though- as much as they try to reduce exposure at the centres, nothings perfect.

You wouldn't want to get protected against one virus and come home with another.

The more that have it, the merrier.

Strangely, I've not had a cold this winter, the odd sniffle but nothing like usual. Perhaps its the distancing and masks etc, but I do wonder.

Come on Peelyfeet..

Pharmacies are chomping at the bit to get the vaccine, boots reckon they can do 500k a month the leader of the independent pharmacy body said they’ve thousand of pharmacies across U.K. with qualified staff ready to go if needed. Get them the vaccine and let them get on with it.

Your dog is happy because it's thick as mince and you pick up its shit. If we were more dog, we'd all be voting for Trump.

I can see my cat shitting on the neighbours garden at the moment. Clever girl.
