Just ignoring the pleas of the scientific community. Sluggish. I can see why , we’ve really never had to deal with this in the modern era. The Government, they say, instructed over 25 thousand old folk back to their care homes, basically seeding them with the virus. Also, they used some parts of care homes to care for old Covid patients but with a lack of PPE, the virus ripped through those care homes. Haven’t read much about it for a while in the media but over half the deaths up here have been care homes I’m sure I read/heard. Could be talking bollocks though
Members bolton_blondie
In my area we cover 4 care homes. Hardly any covid deaths in the beginning. The poor dears are dropping like flies at the moment now though. Its heartbreaking. Edited January 19, 2021 by bolton_blondie

green genie
Front of lot of papers talking of a "pivot" to policy to vaccinate workers first rather than vulnerable. Sounds like a sounding leak given terminology. Think "reboot" of govt policy ould be closer to U turn.

Soon as the numbers drop enough they need to go back and we will have to deal with the numbers rising again.

Absolute bell-ends are the Guardian! The testing wasn't mandatory, Students are to be offered a test, so it was more a case of test as many as you can. Same with staff. Staff in education who are going in during lockdown are being tested, as will be some of the vulnerable Students who are allowed in. How can you mass test a mass that isn't present?
