that'll become april 2022 soon enough as we will be 'entering flu season'

its wank

as an aside and in reply to zico, dont buy this shit that cases are higher than last april

we havent got a clue what cases numbers were last april

This, this, this, this & this. And folk sucking it up FFS. It’s bollocks. The more MPs voting against this bill the better. Fuck Boris his 2 bit cabinet and the medical advisors who are pushing this agenda.

I’m finding it quite unbelievable that normally intelligent folk are meekly and mildly accepting the status quo without question, we need the government to be held to account cross examined and questioned in Parliament. That is not happening and does not sit well with me.

And I'm still finding it quite unbelievable that normally intelligent folk who claimed that we definitely 100% won't have a second wave and should have cracked on from Christmas still think that they know better then the scientists and government.

It is a fair point about not knowing what numbers there were last April.

It is also a fair point that testing now has revealed an increase in the disease in the u18s. This was expected, and hasn't caused alarm, which suggests the road map might indeed be a proper and reasonable way to go.

If you protest against it, will you be right wing or left wing?

Fair point re cases

Still high though

And we didn't have variants either

And were only in the first wave, some countries are now in their 3rd

We know so much more now, like its not the same as flu, and it's all about timing and getting cases down

I can live with having to stay here until August/September.

After that, no chance.

There was a bloke on the radio a couple of months back saying the Govt asked his company to look into producing a passport vaccine

Had to be something that couldn't be forged easily, contained some sort of ID but without compromising data protection, which they reckoned they could do

Won't happen in pubs though

Plus pubs would need to pay somebody with a higher IQ than a gorilla to be able to check ID's, I agree with you it's not happening in pubs

Whichever wing flies him to Spain! :)

This is nothing to do with me flying to Spain as I can go virtually whenever I want even now. It’s about freedom to live our life’s day to day,  it’s about the economy. It’s about the 1 billion a day we’re wasting on continuing to lockdown. Nothing more nothing less.

Do you just think the opposite of this government by default

"We're sending the kids back"

"That's mental, itll cause another spike"

"We're sticking to our road map and restricting travel"

"That's mental, it's pretty much gone away"

Precisely why it's vital to continue the path we're on.

Keep it tight, get vaccinated and economy opens up.

Open up, now lockdown again later.

Pubs for the majority of their opening times don’t have a bouncer on the door so you leave it to the unlucky person behind the bar

I think it was a shitty thing to say then leave it up to either the pub or the police to sort out. They’ll both say it isn’t them and it’s back to the mask in supermarkets problem

Exactly.

For all the shit we've been through, we have found the route which seems to be working.

The boom and bust system we've had to endure, which is still going on in Europe, would be impossible to keep up.

It’s the vaccination that’s sorted the issue, the lockdown was just to protect & slow the virus down. My issue is with extending the bill where the government can do as they please and I fear longer than is necessary, many Tory MPs fear that is the direction we are taking.

I hope I’m wrong in that assumption but I’ve expected that this will happen for quite a while.

That's not my point. No matter what he says, they just want to dig.

The bill is there in case it is needed.
