There is absolutely no chance of that issue sorting itself out until Q2 2022 - current delivery times for new orders on some of these ICs now is up at over 75 weeks, and you don't know the price that you'll pay for them until they're ready to ship. I've had 11Kpcs of something leave Taiwan today, when I placed the order they were $0.65 each, they're shipping today at $3.20 each, I've got another 7Kpcs that are leaving on Thursday, and we're paying $3.40 for them. It's chaos :)

Kinell, that's a fair jump.

Was listening to a report about it- the automotive industry didn't help itself in all this, whereas others have benefitted.

Still, a few extra dollars in the price of a car isn't the end of the world.

The price isn't the issue really, its the availability....or lack of it

I get that, but presumably those increases will be being felt by car manufacturers as they get slow deliveries.

Some vehicles being made to order only at the moment, though I'd guess its not entirely down to chips, but direct covid effects too.

No business worth its salt keeps stock like that.

Unless you’re using it to prop up a pile of Showaddywaddy LP’s on your garage.

91% increase in the last week, but wtf's going on in Erewash

There may be a prison or some kind of facility. That’s what happened in Rutland.

As for Bolton, hopefully a community outbreak that can be contained. Either way, I don’t think the NHS will be shitting themselves anymore.

Be reet.

One Indian variant at my lad's school.

He arrived, and was immediately told to wait outside for 45 mins with a load of others as apparently track and trace had forgotten to inform the school of the positive test.

Some sent home to isolate- not great during exams.

Not great but the way they are doing assessments at the moment backed by evidence and using teacher assessed grades means that they have other assessments under their belts to sort a fair grade :)

I Googled it, 100+ cases at a school apparently

Bolton is down to a fella travelling back from India and not isolating apparently. Spread like wildfire hence the huge spike.

Just hope the weekends activities/celebrations haven’t aided the cause....won’t hold my breath though, there’s already been one positive case from a gaff plenty were at :(
