The cynic in me thinks bozo is happy for this to play out front and centre

The masses are much more interested in getting pissed than finding out their leaders are lying shithouses

How many people are still on furlough, do we know?

Plenty of workhsy fuckers that want to stay on it.

I think plenty of people are starting to miss furlough.

Another month off would be very popular.

furlough needs to end on the 21st and we need to go back to normal. Simple as that

I know folk in our office are already “jokingly” wishing for a nasty mutation of the virus.

I know a couple working cash in hand for their trades pals while on furlough.

I love the fact people are thinking this is over. Its not. Not by a long chalk. Just saying to the folks last night, as they were like - we're getting back to normal. Are we fuck. There is tit all confidence and no-one can do any realistic forecasting because of uncertainty. The only thing people can control are outgoings as no-one has a clue for Q4, and if we stay as we are for another 2 months and it stems the tide of new variations, fine - better that than  another stricter lockdown, and we can't call that at the moment. I still can't believe Bolton wasn't in a local lockdown or Blackburn or Croydon.

I get people want to get back to normal but thinking its gone away or that even if it has abated that things are going back to the way their were immediately are deluded.

Still looking for a job, more people out of work, people are keeping their workforces to the bare minimum.

Living with it does not mean ignoring it, and I also mean the economic reality as well.

There will some complaining in a couple of weeks when they announce that the Furlough scheme is going to be extended until January 2022, and that the date of 21st June is pushed back into July 🙂

I suspect with the pushing back of 21st June, they will let somethings "go" in order to attempt to keep the public onside,  such as possibly wearing of masks, but I'd expect them to keep social distancing rules in place, meaning some places can't get back to full capacity (such as football grounds, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs etc).....but I can see them also kind of contradicting themselves by saying "life events" such as weddings and funerals can have as many people there as you want.

Let's be honest, Boris can do or say anything he wants now, he won't be losing any seats or votes over it

In my sector, they are hoping it gets pushed back so that we don't go through the nonsense of last year, no one is investing anyway due to uncertainty regarding reopening properly.

People would rather do it slowly, step by step than rush back thinking everything is ok.

Just took the sprog to be tested

booked online for a 10-10:30 slot

Took her, got her tested, put it in the pack and the woman gave me card

Only occurred to me when I got in the car that they didn’t ask her name?

Will they know all her details from the slot booked? Or have they made a booboo by not asking her name and details?

When they push the 21st June back, will we just have a load of June 20th's until it arrives or will they invent some new numbers/months?
