Site Supporter Spider Posted October 8, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted October 8, 2020 Top Secret – Official Eyes Only Operation: Hibernate In the event of all other Covid-19 restrictions failing to have the necessary impact, Operation Hibernate is a last resort, 21 day long, large scale total lockdown option to eliminate the virus in its entirety. Covid-19 can only be eliminated for certain by enforcing house arrest on the whole UK population, with strict exceptions for Critical workers, NHS staff and the military. All police, NHS and Military leave is cancelled for 21 days to ensure the lockdown is strictly enforced and harsh penalties enforced for anyone found breaking the curfew, which is absolute. PREPARATION The country will be informed of Operation Hibernate 4 weeks in advance of its commencement. The 3 weeks will be a no-option house arrest. Under no circumstances (except critical workers with the appropriate documentation) can ANYONE leave their domicile. People will be given £200 per head to cover food and domestic supplies for the hibernation. The 4 week lead up will allow all to purchase items (many of which will be rationed accordingly) needed for the 21 day lockdown. At Midnight on the selected date, it will become illegal to be outdoors for any reason other than those Critical workers for 21 days. No businesses will operate beyond utilities and hospitals. The vulnerable may be moved to family homes and cared for. People with no support will be given a phone number that will advise and assist. It will be difficult, there will be objections, but the authorities will have Martial Law if required. There will be deaths, but on a scale considered acceptable in comparison to a further 12 months of local and national restrictions. After 3 weeks, the virus will have been unable to transmit and will cease to exist on the British Isles. From there on, all incoming travellers will be subjected to 3 week quarantine in army facilities. Happy Christmas.
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 8, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted October 8, 2020 One flaw spider: you're allowing more than one in a household. Hence 3 weeks might not be long enough. Everyone needs to be separate. Mass tented villages needed.

If cases and deaths continue to double every 2 weeks then by the end of the year we would be looking at 4,600 deaths per day. Or 28,000 deaths in the last week of the year. Or 94,000 deaths from now until then. Is that tolerable for those who want to just crack on? The quicker everyone gets it the better 👍

I’d be looking to make sure the existing rules are actually being enforced. People who aren’t wearing masks when they should be... fined. People who aren’t social distancing in public... fined. People who are out and about when they’ve had a positive test.. fined or possibly jailed. Any shop, pub, restaurant, cinema that doesn’t insist on people following the rules... fined. And then closed after second offence. I want as much staying open as possible. As many people have pointed out, a lot of businesses have spent a lot of time, money and effort making themselves safe. They shouldn’t be punished.

How much are the rises actually to do with people breaking the rules and how much is it simply to do with normal life resuming, universities/schools opening, Help out etc etc? Im not having this is all down to joe bloggs not wearing a mask in the petrol station or scrotes on johnny fow having house parties. People in general are adhearing to the guidlines given. We were just always going to get growth the more things were relaxed. Hospitals and care homes stick to the rules and theyre rife. Agree with you, was always going to be a spike, with schools and uni returning. Stats show the bigger spikes in the 16-30 age group, this is the lower risk age groups. I’m sure the 45-80 group still acting sensibly and are showing smaller increases in infections than the younger age groups. I’m hoping that this will mean much lower death rates than Wiggy is predicting, also have to factor into in only 30% of folk are catching it based on 70% already having some immunity to it.
