My uncle lost his battle to this in Royal Bolton this morning, so he will be one of today’s numbers.  last rites over the phone held by a nurse with no family there. made an exception yester

That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

I’ve sat with my mum who is slipping away, literally breathing her last today. She idolises the Queen, and whilst she didn’t in all likelihood hear that, I know she would have loved every single

Have you guys been given estimated numbers? What sort of prep do they give you?

We're not being told anything that isn't already in he public domain. Imperial College London reckoned 250,000 deaths approx with the government's old strategy. 20,000 with the new social distancing.

But it does leave the problem of what happens when everyone begins to circulate again.

Get some of them carpet samples. Different colours and patterns for each wipe. Rinse and repeat

Image result for small carpet samples

Carpet shops will need financially supporting with all the samples and off cuts being taken

It was pretty quiet tbh ... But then again, looking at what was left I'm not surprised. There was no meat, no bread, no pasta, no tinned veg, etc etc.

I've managed to get enough to cobble together about three teas by which time hopefully they'll have restocked and all those fucking imbeciles are still sat at home eating their pasta and baked beans sandwiches.

I'd hazard a guess that the vast majority of food that has been bought in panic will end up in the bin

Most of the stuff that’s been ransacked has decent shelf life

Then you have additional consumption of everything over the coming months as folk are at home constantly when they would usually be out quite a bit (work, leisure, holidays etc)

Should be a good year for the Grocery industry

10k people a week die in the uk

Im putting it out there that this years figures arent going to be massively different

The issue is we have loads more needing hospital treatment at the same time

So it's 10k plus Corona plus them that might've lived if it wasn't for Corona

Is it a blue peter badge or a medal you’re after?

Nothing funny or clever about being right/“i told you so” in the face of a global pandemic that IS killing people. I hope you’re right and you can have the last laugh afterwards - but if you truly think the concern for vulnerable people (and people in general) is a fad or a myth as you seem to keep eluding to in your posts then you need to get a grip.

The Chief Scientific Advisor is quoted today as saying "if we can get this down to numbers, 20,000 deaths and below, that's a good outcome".

I thought he'd been misquoted at first, but he did say it.

I wonder if we’re going to empty our prisons like Iran, 85,000 released.  It could very well happen here I reckon depending on the strain and how much the virus is in our prisons.   I bet there’s plenty of Solicitors of the Ambulance chasing kind just waiting for this to die off and start the ‘Was You affected by the Corona Virus whilst under Her Majesty’s pleasure’?

I read this and although I imagine that Iranian prisons are far more spartan surely being in a isolated controlled environment is better than being in society and coming into contact with far more people.
