dunno if any died but our waitrose had to shut (till today) as over 40 staff ended up getting it

they probably didn't die though, as they don't come into close contact repeatedly, every day, with covid patients

Waitrose you posh fucker

It's just nearby, we mix it up between that and tesco express, co-op, aldi and lidl depending what's needed

Might go rouge occasionally and go to Morrisons

All local and within 2 miles

Also got an international grocers if we want slightly manky veg

Whitty said today that the 1st vaccine provides the bulk of immunity.

I have a hunch that just maybe there’s a section in the government playbook that is early lifting of restrictions but as a rather big surprise in late March/early April once 35million jabs are done.

Keep the population under the impression there’s nothing doing until May, then be the heroes.

Clinging, I know. But there’s fuck all else to do.

Mid March I’m thinking. As cases, hospitalisations and deaths collapse, the pressure will be intense to release restrictions

I’ll take that.

The vaccine appears to work with any mutations thrown at it.

Get to 35/40mill and we can say for sure that the NHS is safe, which is the whole point.

Treatments seem to be better, weather will be better.

For once, I’m thinking the gloomy messaging is being overdone just to push us all through this last couple of months.

I’m fine with it, if that’s the reason.

The government have handled this badly in some ways - 100k deaths is a dreadful tally - but getting us out of this quickly will repair some of the damage.

The problem may be that whilst the UK gets its shit together, the rest of the world seems to be making a right arse of it so far. So we ain’t going far this year whatever happens.

If as a starter for 10 I can sit in a pub with mates with little or no risk beyond shitting myself when pissed I will wait on foreign holidays

Just said on BBC news, and I'm not sure how they work it out, that the average additional life expectancy for the 100k that have died is 10 years

Which equates to one million years lost

This is the extreme end result of facebook conspiracy bullshit. What absolute thick fucking cunts.

Utter bellends, Facebook is full of them as well.

“99.7% survival rate”

“Only 400 healthy have died of it”

You try to tell the thick cunts it doesn’t matter if everyone survived and no one died there’s still 10s of thousands getting ill and putting a strain on the NHS. The aim from the start is to prevent this yet they still can’t grasp it.
