Mr Grey 805
B&Q is essential, we need Gardening, decorating stuff to keep us occupied and sane. To be fair to B&Q they also put 2m distance steps at the tills.
Tombwfc 157
As per Newsnight, Robert Jenrick says that building sites are ok to remain open. So that's that then. I give it until the end of the week before they change their mind again. Edited March 23, 2020 by Tombwfc

And then I might as well buy a set rather then just one Must have about 6 sets now

It means essential to travel to work. Can you work from home? If the answer is yes, it isnt absolutely necessary or essential to travel to work. If you cant work from home, it will be necessary to travel to work. It isnt anything to do with "essential" jobs that were referenced for childcare and schooling but as someone as already alluded to, the ambiguity is purposeful I think. If that’s the case (and it also reads that way from the gov.uk release), then Boris has made a right mess of that announcement. You’ve got businesses messaging staff saying they’re closing down for 3 weeks when that isn’t the intention of the restrictions.
DazBob 1,116
Presumably Mounts has brushed up his CV so it now shows him as being a professional golfer, meaning he can go to work tomorrow?

The announcement was ambiguous but to infer from it that you should close shop for the best part of a month without waiting for clarity is ridiculous.

leigh white 470
I laughed at an old pit mate years ago talking about a bloke who was always missing his shift, he said i bet his family are living on pots of jam. Last Thursday, i think that was the only item left on the shelves in Sainsbury's.
