My family own a DIY & Hardware store which is classed as being a store that can open. We’ve chosen to close this morning, I presume that even though we’ve chosen to close, our workers should still be eligible for the 80% the government are offering?

If you are saying to them you are going to lay them off/make them redundant then yes.

Presumably a lot of these places are playing safe, have a number of staff off anyhow, or have insufficient custom to bother.

Just an update for anyone else interested. Tried Wigan and Chorley Nissan dealers, both closed. Managed to book it into Manchester. So it varies by dealer at the moment. (Hopefully nothing changes between then and now)

Just been for my 1 hour dog walk, smatter of people being responsible but a few dodgy BMW drivers cruising about, defo drug dealers, surely these are going to be easy prey for the Cops now.
