What for calling someone out who’s persistently criticized all and sundry for a prolonged period and now is doing the same thing herself? Have a day off you melt

Me have a day off? You’re the one itching for an argument  with some bird and her bloke.

I’d love to fight for equal rights for all ethnicities but not in the middle of a highly contagious pandemic

I might as well shit in a bag and slap a nurse in the face with it

Racism doesn't come into it. Those people at that protest are risking taking a virulent virus back into their own community. Knowingly.

That's as bad as the cops in the US.

Sad, but true.

Which one of those are you though Paul? Bet you’re at least one of them

Well of course Mick. If you don't share the liberal worldview you are beyond the pale and therefore condemned to being one of them. Whether you actually are or not is irrelevant. If you don't fully agree with such people you are an extremist. You must be tried by social media. The self appointed liberal thought police in action.

It's called liberal intolerance and it is rife.

Has Cummings ran off with your Mrs

No such luck.

but ignoring him getting away with it, given the effect it’s had on the biggest human crisis this country has faced since the 40’s, is piss poor.

Next time you mention a historical decision having an influence on subsequent events, make sure to tag me.

Think putting Elmander in midfield. Or Holden being assaulted by Evans.

These things have knock on effects.

But Paul, surely you see that some racists, transphobes etc etc, use this ‘liberal intolerance’ as an excuse to propagate their shitty worldview?

Cummings in the background?

I think the notion of Cummings being some kind of Dark Lord got put to bed when he didn't think anyone would care about him breaking lockdown and then took two days to say he drove 60 miles to test his eyes.

Whatever people say, and whichever figures the government (and others) want to cherry pick, the virus is either going to start infecting more people again or it isn't. We'll find that out soon enough.

But whatever happens the government are going to be blamed if it goes wrong, so they might as well be honest about what they actually want.

But Mick. Surely you see that not everybody who chooses views that don't fall within the narrow confines of being liberal is a racist or a transphobe.

The problem with liberals it that they won't join a debate and try to win it. Instead they try to shut down those with other opinions by branding them extreme. Censorious and sinister.

Pretty sure it is obvious what is racist or not? If someone uses  the free speech argument to justify racism  then they need calling out as racists, no?

Quite. Calling out someone who is a racist as racist doesn’t make you a liberal, makes you a decent person.

The 17.4m who voted for Brexit got branded as racist by people who'd never met 17.39m of them.

If someone closes down free speech having pre-ordained what is acceptable and unacceptable, they are intolerant, no?

You have to explore someone's views at length and in detail to determine whether they are racist. Not yer liberals - any sniff of divergance from their script and that's it - you're automatically racist, sexist, transphpobic etc. It is classic intolerance - all from people who believe themselves to be the most tolerant generation who ever lived on this planet of ours.

What was the saying? Not everybody who voted Brexit was racist, but all racists voted for Brexit.

Folk can say what they want, but equally can be called out on it if it’s bullshit

Racists are racist. There aren’t degrees of racism. You do know that don’t you?

Go to agree, it's everywhere, especially when you are travelling. You have to keep your opinions and mouth zipped in case some Liberal is in the vicinity.

Go by train on an away day, very rarely passes without some incident.

Like what opinions exactly?
What are you going to say that a ‘liberal’ is going to pick you up on.?

Aren't you characterising all 'liberals' as a homogenous mass in the same way you are calling them out for?

And what do you mean by 'liberals?' Liberal Democrats? Remain voters? Or the US usage that's creeping into our discourse - anyone that doesn't support the Republican Party (Conservatives over here).

If one of them passes COVID onto a vulnerable person who then dies - then they're just as culpable in my opinion.
