I think it's less the results and more the sense that we don't seem to have a great deal in the way of organisation or structure. How much of that is a result of the restrictions we're working under is up for debate (I doubt very much that he'd have signed more than a couple of the players  we have now if we weren't working under them) but I can't understand why we're making some of the mistakes we're making.

Saturday, as a case in point, 3 defenders signed in last few weeks and a right back who cant defend

Again, tonight, 2 of those 3, hobbs who hasnt played with them and a right back who cant defend

Its frustrating, very, but hes had 25 games? And in that time, tried to build 2 teams pretty much from scratch, while under all sorts of constraints

Our best footballer, barring politic, is crawford, and we just cant replace that quality

Im not saying hes right for the job, but fucking hell, you cant just keep sacking managers

Tranmere and the other promotion hopefuls won't be losing  15 - 18 of their first team squad in the summer

Losing players isnt all bad.  Eg L Murphy, we need to shift these players on.  The other relegated teams will have players under contract they cant shift, they're stuck with them, and the better one's will probably get snapped up by Div 1 teams.  Its a great opportunity to get better players in and hopefully re-sign the successful one's, for arguments sake Lowe, Hobbs, Darcy, Emannuel, Bryan, Nsiala,  Chicksen, Mellis if he's not behind bars, Hamilton maybe (the jury's out).  There will be others that will love to come to Bolton and the 2 in charge have more contacts at this level than most, it counts for a lot.

Have to agree, seems no pattern, no style of play, no shape, get them drilled in the training ground, repeat, repeat, repeat until they get it. A fortnight with Big Sam and you’d see a completely different team.

I believe you were at coventry

Second half we dominated them

Not always pretty, but there was a plan and it worked

But, theres too many individuals who are error ridden

Prob cos theyre not very good

Perhaps my judgement is clouded by his interviews. He comes across to me as unprofessional, and then when I witness some of the things we do on the pitch I can't help but wonder what he's like on the training ground.

He gets pretty much a free pass for most of January because we were suddenly left so short of quality and I don't know how much of an influence he has on transfer policy, but I still think we could and should be harder to beat generally. He has something resembling a proper squad now though so let's see how he does with it.

As it happens I'd have preferred it if we hadn't have had a recent change of manager at all but that's by the by.

Sorry but how the fuck is he proud of that performance? Lads gave him everything, narrow defeats to top teams, Doncaster were shit, this man is amateurish at best, and winging it from week to week.

Spot on .

Doncaster were awful and we were a shambles.  Hill will take us to the conference, he is so out of his depth managing a club of our stature . I've seen nothing from him to convince me otherwise .

Different side 2nd half and actually had some fight and grit. That said we are fucking awful. It’s the slowest football side I’ve ever seen in all my days. Like they are running in treacle.

why he didn’t shove faal on at the end is anybody’s guess.
They were shite. Shite fans shite team shitehole.

That's the problem in a nutshell.

Managers cannot un-shit shit players. We have lots of them.

Not defending KH at all, but the bloke has had some absolutely shit luck with injuries. I’m not saying our league position would be any different, but with such a small squad it certainly hasn’t helped. It would be interesting to see a list of our players who have been injured for 3 weeks or more this season.

Great atmosphere amongst the small travelling support last night, encouraged by the team actually having a go in the second half, but why do we need to be 2-0 first?

We consistently concede at the start and end of halves and last night just like Coventry in that respect.

Came way thinking we'd missed a trick last night, as we rally could have got something from the game. At 2-1, Doncaster were clearly rattled and we were on top in the game, so when Bryan gets injured, surely it's 3 at the back and shove a more attack minded player on?

No, KH sends another defender on and we revert to hoofball, sailing balls over O'Grady's head into touch.

Doncaster are a poor side and we really should have got a point at the very least.

Sums up my thoughts completely. Another opportunity wasted.

Or havin a shite

Missed their first goal for exactly that reason. 🙈

Probably the most productive thing of the night, to be fair.

Thought Fleming was excellent, O’Grady did well in patches and Matthews made a couple of decent saves. There was a spell at 2-1 where you could really see us getting an equaliser, but it just fizzled out, much like it has a couple of times in the last few months when we’ve been in a similar position.

I’m sticking with my ‘free hit’ stance, but it’s a tough watch. Certainly my last sober midweek away of the season, at least.

Emmanuel has to be up their now with worst full backs to join the club generally think he's giving Moxey & Butterfield run for their money.

Again ball watching, not watch his man run behind. Every week we conceding crosses due to inability to be switched on.

We lose pretty much every away game and we're certainly going down, so please can we lose/go down whilst at least giving the impression we're not just trying to defend a 0-2 scoreline?

He really should have chucked Faal on last night with 15 mins to go. It might have made no difference at all, but if you don't try it, you'll never know. If the lad's not good enough to do it, he shouldn't be on the bench. Speaking of which, the decision to only take 18 players over for a game is a strange one. Something happened to politic between arriving at the ground and the teamsheet going in, leaving us with just 6 subs.

I thought Fleming was abysmal first half! Got run ragged but that was in part down to having no cover from midfield but there number 7 tore him a new one first 45.
2nd half he had a much better game. But is far too light weight for me and his delivery at set pieces was horrific. How many times did he fail to beat the first man!!

daryl Murphy must have less steps on his gps tracker after a game than I do at work during my day and I’m generally sat on my arse

After playing Bolton this season many opposition fans have commented about the lack of movement and poor fitness levels in Bolton;s players. This is because Bolton didn't have a pre season to get their team fit to league standard.I'm sure the fitness experts on here could explain why if a club doesn't do a pre season their players won't be as fit as other teams.

For it not to happen next season, the majority of players need to be signed by the first week of July when pre season starts. If the club waits till the end of AUgust when players are at their cheapest to sign them expect another season of poor fitness levels
