Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 17, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 17, 2020 Tend not to eat out too much- the lad is such a faddy fucker- so no from me. Could be tempted by a home cooked tomohawk steak at weekend though to cheer the mood!
Site Supporter Spider Posted March 17, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 17, 2020 Do folk not chuck shit at you normally? I’ll be out if they’re open. I can’t support the local shopkeepers and grocers etc yet turn my back on the local innkeepers. That would be hypocritical

Leyther_Matt
We were supposed to be going to Cafe Italia for Mother’s Day but MiL is in one of the vulnerable groups so we’ve reluctantly had to cancel, if nothing else so that she starts to take things more seriously. kent_white
I was at a pub on Saturday that had popcorn in a bowl on the bar for everybody to stick their virus infested fingers into. Someone clearly hadn't got the memo. That'll be my last night out for a whole I reckon. Things have moved on apace. Even since the weekend. tshape
I'm planning on going out this weekend. Had plans Saturday night but that's been postponed so gna make the most of whatever is open whilst I can.
gonzo
If the bay horse is open I’m in there. Keep going until told otherwise imo.
MancWanderer
Don’t tend to drink locally anymore as the boozers have gone a bit shit. Usually hop on a train to Hebden or similar, or get the Metrolink into Manc, neither of which looks a good option.
Dr Faustus
I've been unsure on whether to go to the gym or not. Might venture tomorrow
Escobarp
Just announced my gym is staying open. Limiting numbers of folk in there At once but it’s staying open. Godsend this could be and going to make the most of it
MancWanderer
Village Gym swimming pool in Ashton was glorious this morning. Only one other person in the pool. Nice clean with chlorine and a hot shower and that was me decontaminated.

Blondi
A group of about 10 of us were due to go out on Saturday to celebrate my mates birthday, but a couple of lads backed out because they didn't want to pass the virus on to their elderly parents. After Boris's advice yesterday about staying away from pubs etc, that was it, pissup cancelled.

Farrelli
I think the advice regarding all socialising is moving towards enforcement each day. I would anticipate by the weekend it will be forbidden like in Spain and Italy. IMO schools should be closed ASAP.
Site Supporter fatolive Posted March 17, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 17, 2020 Torn between the need to support the local, which I do every weekend and social responsibility not to be part of a gathering as “ advised” Last weekend I was in the “ it’ll be reet “ camp, even though it’s only Tuesday the events and escalation this week is edging me to think no stay in, as it’s the correct action That maybe because it’s freaking me out at the moment and by the weekend I’ll be gagging and think fuck it, but also, if we can’t follow advice then we can’t complain when they enforce it with draconian measures. If (when) my kids’ nursery shuts, it’s going to be a sodding nightmare for me and the Mrs working from home. My parents are in Spain and the in laws are in the “vulnerable” category, so we won’t have any assistance with the childcare.
Traf
I'll be up at the caravan, so it'd be rude not to have a few in the bar, which never has more than a dozen folk in anyway.
Site Supporter superjohnmcginlay Posted March 17, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 17, 2020 If we get shut down at work for a couple of weeks I’ll be off to the caravan to get away. as for the weekend, was supposed to be watching that back to the future musical and then day sesh in Manchester Saturday, both cancelled so Not sure weather to pop for a local one or not. Will see on developments.
