Just been told by the hospital that if she reaches resuscitation stage she’s a DNR Always thought that was the patients call in consultation with the family and health care professionals rather than just the health care professionals. Same as when they withdrew my dads iv feeding. You have to be pragmatic and accept what’s happening. My Mum is on end of life treatment and they’ve basically said painkillers only now - all her previous meds have been withdrawn and it’s just a waiting game. I am going to spend some time with her next week. If she does catch the virus it doesn’t really matter at this stage. Buggered if I’m going to let some fucking shitty Chinese germs stop me hugging my mum one last time. She has a funeral plan that is almost certainly out the window unless she hangs on beyond all expectations. 2020 really can go fuck itself

As far as I'm aware, the only things to change is that the funeral company (probably) won't offer a limo for the family and the crem will only allow ten mourners in the chapel. Everything else ought to be as normal.

Her status, and the current strain on hospitals actually makes that decision for us. She’s tired, she’s accepted it. We’re good to go even though it’s heartbreaking. We’re all there for her, it’s not a bad way to go.

She’s stretched it out and this must be the 5th or 6th time we’ve been on final warning but I fear it’s the last without even knowing if it’s CV or not Unfortunately I prob won’t see her again but at least my last memory will be when she called in for a brew a couple of weeks ago after a chemo appointment. Unlike Mrs Manc who saw her stretchered away and spent the rest of the day cleaning shit off the carpets god bless her. If she manages another of her miraculous recoveries I apologise to all for the attention seeking and will fucking chin her for putting us through this at this time 2020 - Mrs Manc’s big 5-0 and it’s been one catastrophe after another

I had to take ibruprofen today as the headache was that bad. Temperature has come up again, and it's currently on 37.8, so not raging but clearly back up, Hoping it's not a resurgence Same happened to me, thought I was getting over it then came back to kick me in the bollocks! A couple that were 3 days ahead of me in symptoms, on day 7 she got better, he got worse. Doctor was round with antibiotics. He's on day 12 & started feeling better, even getting up & about, 6 hours later his wife reported he was collected by an ambulance! Carry on taking it easy, it's like it comes in waves. My temperatures stopped on day 5, then woke me up at 4am on day 6. Fine again later that day. All the best, but make the call if you need too

Site Supporter only1swanny Posted March 27, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 27, 2020 Absolutely fine this morning, just dizzy Temp is fine, think my body is just battered from it. I've got a strong immune system from a mixture of working retail, then in peoples houses and then in a school.. So my heightened immune system and a diet of coffee (i'm caffeine free usually) has given it a royal booting, but my body's just knackered.. Going to have to take it easy for a few days to recoop my strength fully or i'll catch something else..
