I called early afternoon and they said it'll be about 20-25 mins. 2 mains @ £23, inc said inspired curry; not bad. And a pile of food. I've had a look online but couldn't find a menu. Might have to pop up like you did.

It was more a joke about it being singular But i guess you call it a fish finger sandwich, rather than fish fingers sandwich So the joke is on me

I thought it was one of those cavery places full of scudders, could be wrong though. The Watermillock on Crompton Way re-marketed itself as a Toby Carvery and is indeed full of scutters although the once or twice I’ve been there the food has been ok. If you can risk being sat at a table alongside Wayne and Waynetta Slob and their daughter, Spudulike, you’ll be ok. Toby Inn is not a pub with a restaurant the way Pack Horse, Affetside is, it’s very much a restaurant which has a bar. The only folk I’ve ever seen buying drinks at the bar are diners waiting to be seated. Regarding the menu, lots of fish, steaks, chicken dishes, pizza, etc. theyhave massively reduced their menu this year. I assume because of the uncertainties of Covid19 in the area, it being situated in the moors between Bolton, Bury and Blackburn. https://www.thetobyinn-edgworth.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Small-Menu_Summer-2020.pdf Edited September 17, 2020 by MickyD
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 17, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted September 17, 2020 Grub been fine in the watermillock whenever I've been in. Unfortunately toddlers using it as a playground spoils it. Seen one kid nearly get a plate full of food over his head once.

It was bloody brilliant. Our 5th wedding anniversary Tomorrow we were booked in at Sokrates, when it went into lockdown again we thought that was that, the chap rang me on Monday and offered us take out service, ordered it and will pick it up tomorrow. Take it home few beers and try and fire a sprog up her.
