I don't believe they can force teams losing home advantage so that garbage of playing on neutral grounds hopefully cannot be agreed; the law wont allow home matches due to fans congregating outside the grounds so hopefully they will have to cancel the season. I don’t see 7 teams voting against tbh. But that depends on if relegation is on or off the table

birch-chorley
For my money they should... Work out a PPG finish BUT No relegation, 3 up as normal from the championship which is made good over the next 3 seasons, hand the TV money back, go again from August if a decisions has to be made now

I've heard that one of the main reasons there's a big push for a return as soon as possible is so that they can start and fulfil the next season as much as it is about completing this one. To appease any teams just outside the play off spots after PPG I’d say 5, 6, 7 & 8th place should play a one off game to meet 3rd and 4th place in another one off game then a final - could play them all Wembley to be fair Do that in Championship, League 1 and League

I would like to think the 2 teams not involved in the relegation battle voting against neutral grounds are motivated by hatred of Liverpool not money

Logically the EFL decision is contingent upon the PL decision, so it must follow rather than precede the PL decision.

Site Supporter Spider Posted May 11, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted May 11, 2020 I think they'll all try and get the leagues finished. Makes sense if they can. This will be a real test for just how prevalant the virus is, if nothing else. I think a few have said fit young footballers catching it won't be too risky. Fuck it, we're down the rabbit hole now, let's go for it.

Most clubs will have players out of contract at the end of June and no club will want to incur extra costs for contract extensions - they'll just let players go. There's only going to be expenditure (testing, H & S etc) without any income so they'll not be bothered one bit about playing.
