The vote is tomorrow and a big day on the start of conversation to what will happen throughout the leagues. I don't believe they can force teams losing home advantage so that garbage of playing on neutral grounds hopefully cannot be agreed; the law wont allow home matches due to fans congregating outside the grounds so hopefully they will have to cancel the season.

I don’t see 7 teams voting against tbh. But that depends on if relegation is on or off the table

If theres no relegation, its a hard argument to justify playing a lot of the outstanding games

Brightening us all up is the argument but its bollocks; very few will want to watch behind closed doors football and it is only to get the media money that is driving this.

To fulfil broadcasting rights contracts.

I've heard that one of the main reasons there's a big push for a return as soon as possible is so that they can start and fulfil the next season as much as it is about completing this one.

For my money they should...

Work out a PPG finish BUT No relegation, 3 up as normal from the championship which is made good over the next 3 seasons, hand the TV money back, go again from August

if a decisions has to be made now

Can't see them picking a 3rd team from the play off spots

If they do promotions it just be those in automatic places

I’d imagine a play off would be manageable behind closed doors, only a few games with a big prize at the end of it.

To appease any teams just outside the play off spots after PPG I’d say 5, 6, 7 & 8th place should play a one off game to meet 3rd and 4th place in another one off game then a final - could play them all Wembley to be fair

Do that in Championship, League 1 and League 2

Telegraph saying 8 Premier League clubs will argue against neutral venues.

The premier league showing only 1 thing matters to them the money, hope it implodes, people are seeing right through what it’s all about, it ain’t football it’s just cash. Its beginning to turn my stomach.

I would like to think the 2 teams not involved in the relegation battle voting against neutral grounds are motivated by hatred of Liverpool not money

Anyone know when the L1 and L2 vote is re how to finish the season? I’ve heard from different places that is is this week / early this week / Thursday.

Logically the EFL decision is contingent upon the PL decision, so it must follow rather than precede the PL decision.

I’m sure there’s some kind of meeting with the premier league clubs today

There is. Government just given the go ahead for June 1st. Just need 14 PL clubs to agree it

I think they'll all try and get the leagues finished. Makes sense if they can.

This will be a real test for just how prevalant the virus is, if nothing else.

I think a few have said fit young footballers catching it won't be too risky.

Fuck it, we're down the rabbit hole now, let's go for it.

See, I don't think that Lgs 1 & 2 will be bothered about finishing at all.

Most clubs will have players out of contract at the end of June and no club will want to incur extra costs for contract extensions - they'll just let players go.

There's only going to be expenditure (testing, H & S etc) without any income so they'll not be bothered one bit about playing.
