Its not on us to sort out the logistics

Its an impossibilty to pull it off

I know that, the efl know that

Im hoping even you know that

I would agree but if enough vote for it and that’s the decision then we have an almighty fucking financial issue facing us and I don’t see us getting through it unscathed along with many others.

we would need to unfurlough players immediately. That’s in itself is a real issue I imagine. Plus that cunt onions will be back.

Our players arent furloughed, but theres plenty other issues

Imo, its an impossibilty to finish the programme in time

So, id suggest that article giving 2 options is bullshit

I think theres plenty grey in between

Do we know for a fact they aren’t furloughed? I know they have agreed to defer some of their wages but doesn’t mean that they aren’t furloughed?

everyday there are a number of articles and all contradictory and most of them must be bullshit as they can’t all be right eh

im sick of the whole thing and just want the efl to make their mind up then we can get on with whatever it is we have to

I don't quite this deferrals thing.  How and when do we start repaying players given we arent going to get any income this year.  You can see it going on for ages where we owe players their wages from the previous season.  That sounds familiar.

Might work that they’ll defer a percentage. Say they’ll 90%, that 10% is held back. Over the months until revenue starts to come in. Whatever they’ve missed will then be spread out over a number of months

Just one scenario.

Promotion but no relegation, have any of those teams wanting this said how it will work in the seasons after to get the structure back ?

Do we have 3 up, 3 up, 4 up this season and then have the maddest season ever with normal promotion and 6 relegated from the PL, 6 relegated from the Championship, 7 down from L1 and just 1 down from L2 ?

You'd have to think not but summat radical would have to happen, maybe that thing is a totally new structure?

I suppose there's a chance there will be a League One but not a League Two next season due to there not being enough money to play League Two behind closed doors.

The Italian League have said their deadline to complete this season is August 20 and they plan to start next season on September 1.There's a quick turnaround to cram it in for Euro 21.

It’s not that bad for them. They only have one domestic cup and a winter break. We’re behind them and play more games than any other European major league. I assume a cup or both cups will need to be potted, which causes all sorts of problems.

It is only the EPL that is affected in the way you mention. Say the Championship has no relegation then they lose 3 teams to promotion and gain 3 teams from teams promoted in. No relegation so no change there.
I think this is why it needs all divisions to have same outcome.

Chances that if the recession is as bad as  the chancellor thinks.

We could see the majority of teams below the championship go semi pro. Television money is past its peak. Corporate will see a big decline as will sponsorship. Then they are talking about a salary cap [Salford have players contracted to above the ceiling already]

Whatever they decide someone will not be happy.

On a plus side I think our board have acted with dignity by not voting for the season to be voided.

The Italians  are behind the English league this season. All serie A clubs have either 12 or 13 league games left. The worst affected are probably Inter Milan who have 13 league games left and are still in the Italian Cup and Europa League.

The only two outcomes for us even remotely close to fair would be -12 in League One (null and void) or relegated to League Two (PPG). Anything else doesn't sit right.

However, if everyone else is up for tearing up the rules and giving everyone what they want, then fuck it. Promotion, no relegation, a six team play-off in League One to include Peterborough, us staying where we are with no deduction next season.

I don't think it's even an option for the leagues which are going to try and play games to have no relegation. It becomes beyond farcical to even bother if the majority of the games carry no meaning.

Apparently the Championship players are going to have to test themselves moving forward. What could possibly go wrong with that?

I’m more arsed about what happens next season. Dont see how clubs will survive if they are playing behind closed doors

It'd have to be supported by people buying season tickets that give some sort of priority access to ifollow and that then convert to physical access when the doors open.

Not seen anything so far to suggest it's in the pipeline for any club, or how feasible it even is. Why would a family get their usual 3 or 4 season tickets when 1 will do and crowd around the laptop?

Going to need something major, or rely on some major generosity from fans, to support itself until we can go back in.

Having watched 2 minutes of the German football with no fans at weekend pretty clear no way will any broadcaster be paying top dollar for football without fans. Which mains the safety and well being of fans will soon be a secondary issue.

Surely for us, it should be easier than most to make a case for getting some fans back in. I don't know what we'd need to break even, but 6/7k home fans around a 28,000 seater stadium. Keep the concourses closed and sell food and drink outside.
