Youri McAnespie
I think it's either/or tbh. The discount. I think it's only The Co-Op that do double bubble discounts - and I think they've exempted booze purchases from their NHS discount.

You can build points up all year and get near on £100 of Christmas booze without handing a penny over... ErnestTurnip
Some O-G Hazy, SALT Ripe Times DDH NEIPA, SALT IKAT DDH DIPA, and North Lost Cosmonauts here. Paid £3.50 for one of them. £3.50. World's gone mad.

ErnestTurnip
Traf and Youri talking about rum in the post-apocalypse thread got me trying to remember the best rum I ever had and finally remembered it was Angostura 1919, a thing of beauty even for folk like me who don't drink much spirits. ErnestTurnip
Not feeling magnificent today and taste buds might not be their best but definitely give the SALT IKAT and SALT/Magic Rock Ripe Times a go if you're NEIPA/tropical inclined or just like a decent strength. I'm not normally one for the tropical but I reckon you could easily make a mistake with the IKAT at 8% and end up drinking it like it's much lower down the % scale. The Ripe Times is lower at 6.5% but is really really really drinkable. Part of me is glad I didn't buy more and a bigger part of me is wishing I had some left. Site Supporter Spider Posted May 28, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted May 28, 2020 Right then. As lockdown has ended, and it appears normality is pretty much upon us as of next Monday, I think it’s time we had a Covid Ale Top 10 off everyone. We’ve all survived the pandemic whilst going on a booze odyssey. We should all now be able to list our top ten favourite beers with decent accuracy - this can include beers from pre-lockdown of course. This is not draft ales. Stuff you drink at home. I’ll start: 10. Guinness 9. Brewdog NEIPA 8. Camden Hells lager 7. Trooper IPA 6. Iron Maiden Sun & Steel lager 5. Brewdog Lost Lager 4. Brewdog Cloudwater 3. Czech Sainsbury’s pilsner 2. Black Edge American IPA 1. Czech Budweiser
