Aye. Had a few pints of draft over the years and yeah absolute heaven. Not bought canned Boddies for years. I may now stock up

Cheap as well.
Mrs goes mad if I drink it, for some reason it’s the only beer that makes me snore like a hippo

I’ve been thinking, when the pubs reopen it’s gonna be rammed. So there needs to be a priority list.

BarFlies the ones who sit in there from dusk until dawn. Reek a bit of damp dog and KP nuts.

Heavyweight drinkers. The ones who drink every night at home and in the pubs all weekend.

Weekend drinkers. Early dart on a Friday in until the soccer Sunday evening analysis is done

Bottom of the list

Annual drinkers, the ones who have one a year usually around Christmas usually with a lemonade top. Wankers.

People who order coffee whilst some minimum wage Herbert has to work out what a skinny mocha is

Food customers. Taking staff members valuable time up when it’s 8 deep at the bar. No.

From memory, the most profitable outcome in a pub is to have it rammed with people drinking pints of draft coke/Pepsi and throwing down snacks.

nigh on 90% margin.

From what I can remember, a 10 litre Cola post-mix syrup (Pepsi or Coke etc) is about £50

It makes 60 litres = 105 pints at £0.48 a pint.

At McDonalds the net cost of a large coke including the cup etc was about 0.12p back in c. 2000

My daughter works in the hospitality drinks game, reckons the mark up on beers isn't as much as you'd imagine and them blue trucks with a name that you probably always wonder how its pronounced " kuahan naglel" or something, they deliver to pubs and restaurants. Well she said they are a very expensive supplier, but a lot of places are forced to use them.

Funnily enough I bumped into the ex-landlord of my local today

I asked him about the viability of a Jollyboys outing. He reckoned no chance til the end of the year at the earliest. Strict entry criteria into pubs/bars and no chance of a big table of folk socialising. Hope he’s wrong but he’s still got contacts in the trade so I believe him

We may be looking at a Xmas WWays outing unfortunately

My view is it will be strict for a month or two bit like supermarkets started off all good but each week measures are slipping (around here anyway), If not it’s a marquee in a field😀

Looking just short of £60 plus VAT for 7 litres these days on Coca Cola. Pepsi less but Syrup to soda ratio is worse.

For what it’s worth I’m missing mates but not missing pubs in the slightest. Which has surprised me a bit.
