Girl in Sainsbury’s horwich (34D, none too shabby)

She actually commented on how many of their own brand Czech lager I’ve bought tonight. I told her it’s like crack and she just looked at me with a rather alarmed expression.

It is though. I blame @Boby Brno

I drove through half an hour ago and it looked quiet enough

But lord knows what it was like inside

The folk walking about looking like they were heading to pubs looked just like the folk i wouldve predicted would be heading to pubs today

That star and garter place had its door wide open....never seen any sign of life before

Well, i dunno what its called, or if its even still a pub

Thinking you as a long term punter could educate us?

"Dunno what it's called." 🙄

Ha, anyway, I used to live just at the back of it. Went in once on a Sunday afternoon a couple of years ago and had a decent pint of Estrella Damm.

There were only about six others in. Split was probably 50/50 between scruffs and bummers. I fitted into both categories.

I quick look through the windows of 2 pubs in horwich and I can assure you the “measures” may as well have been sent in Morse code.

We are back to normal.

Which is good news?

It is.

Frankly, we’ll find out soon enough just how virulent Covid is. There can be no complaints if the second wave comes and we have to lockdown again

Oh,  but there will be.

It'll be Boris' fault for letting us go to the pub again. Not the fault of the pubs and/or their customers for failing to stick to the rules.
