And that was pure luck as jussi was injured and didn’t rasiak luckily for us get injured and that changed course of that game.

just checked and rasiak started infront of Diouf, that’s a sackable offence on its own. Very Gary fucking Megsonesque call that.

I vividly remember going to Middlesbrough that day and spitting fury when I heard the line up.  Diouff and Stelios on bench, Rasiak starting.  I remember one of our players injured Rasiak in an "accidental" collision.  I always thought that injury kept us up that season.  Turned into a very memorable away day, the club put free coaches on and we took about 3k instead of the usual 300.

I dont get the Iles digs.  Seems like a decent journalist to me, working with scraps in terms of any news to report much of the time.  If he's not all over rumours and chat on Twitter its like he's no

Worlds richest man puts bid in for club. Think big folks.

Barrow, Harrogate and Southend to replace the 3 promoted would be great

Aye that’s right, Cohen got injured and Guthrie came on which put us on the front foot, that clash of heads was another piece of luck that day.

I agree, it would have been great to replace an £8 million striker with Chris Eagles but sadly it didn't work out.

If that's the case he shouldnt have played.  But it wasnt to have a go at individuals for mistakes etc, just that it seemed like sods law that Jussi lets in goals he would normally save, Stoke have incredibly accurate shots from distance from 3 players that probably didnt replicate them all season, Robbo makes a basic uncharacteristic error and nobody had their shooting boots on.  Typically the week after, we get the rub of the green with a bit of jammy last minute winner in a relatively meaningless game v Arsenal.

Don’t get me wrong, we would have lost anyway - as to a man, none of our team turned up, but it didn’t help.

I'm philosophical about the semi final at Wembley. Me and the kids had a great day out, the atmosphere was buzzing and it was all good until the match began but we were nowhere to be seen and everything that could go wrong did go wrong so I accepted it and moved on.

The final match of 2012 at the Britannia was a different story though and it still grates to this day. I was sat no more than a couple of yards behind Bogdan when he was shoved and it was as clear as daylight that Walters shouldered Boggers' arm whilst he was holding the ball. I'm not a spiteful person but I could have happily done something very unpleasant to Chris Foy that day.

And Crouch for diving. And Tim Ream for not scoring that header.

On that occasion we were the better team and deserved to win the game and stay in the Premiership.

I still think Bogdan was weak that day. Jussi wouldn't have been bullied off the ball.

Maybe, but it was a foul and should have been disallowed end of. Personally I don't think Boggers was at fault given the angle of JW's shoulder, but that shouldn't even be a discussion if Foy had seen what everyone else on the planet saw.

Don’t

the guy winds me up no end

He didn't help himself by bringing in hos own Dingle coaches, the whole coaching set-up he had was fucking useless, i was surprised we lasted so long in the  'Barclays Premier League' under him, there were some cracking performances though, but ultimately over the long run, he did some damage.

He didn't do much when he moved on after us.

I was on an FA cousre, In Preston, with Emmerson Boyce a few months ago - he was captain of Wigan when Coyle took over from Martinez - I asked him what it was like -  he said they went from spending a few hours every day on tactics, formation, movement and strategy to literally zero with Coyle, said he was a lovely chap but had no clue, it was up to the players to organise the match strategy.  He also said Malky Mackay was a twat.

Clark Carlisle said training consisted of 5 a side and head tennis and the losers had to buy Krispy Kremes and Irn-bru under Coyle

No fitness, no tactics.

I think it was the season we went down, we won at villa

We played 4 1 5

I couldnt belive what i was watching

Anyway, he is king cnut and i dont buy it we were always fantastic under him, but there was that spell of about a month when everything clicked

Cant take that from him, the white trainer, long socked cnut

And, if he was still manager kevin davies would still be playing up front looking totally ineffective

Boyce said the same - 5 a side matches, pick your own teams, like at school. Said they had a laugh and it was fun, and everyone got on well, but he was like a mate, not a manager, wanted everyone to like him. Crazy how  he's had so many jobs.

I remember a 5live phone in and it was a Blackburn fan going absolutely spare at Coyle being beat about 5-0 at home. Going ballistic.

He says look what he did to, Burnley, Bolton, Wigan and how us he’s done more damage to the North West than Maggie Thatcher

😂

Joe whites going, which is a bit of a shame

And 3 others who we didn't see much of

Eddie Brown, unclear as yet

Eddie Brown was so far out his depth I felt sorry for him. Joe White going is a surprise. The Sterling kid I thought had something about him against Ipswich.
what do we know though, I suspect we will be carrying a far smaller squad next season - all of whom need to be capable of 1st team. These 4 obviously don’t fit the bill

I thought White did OK to be fair.
