I really really really really really really really want a proper pint though.

Me too, but I've managed three months, so another week won't hurt.

I might do a walk past of a couple of locals, but no intention of going in. I think I'll leave it until a midweek day after work which is 4ish for me. In the olden days I could have the pub to myself at that time.

See what happens.

Has everyone not been doing takeouts from their local?

We have in our village, so the place hasn't suffered too badly, in fact with them not paying for Sky, furloughing the stag and getting a £10K grant from the government, they've not faired to badly at all really

Only had one takeout, it's grim supping a pint from a plastic pot.

Also, why do people think the pubs are just going to be full of wankers and they need to be avoided on Saturday? Surely that says more about your choice of boozer rather than anything else

We’ve just been buying 4 pint flagons and taking down our own pint pots.

I was in Southport on a hot day last week and caved in.

Not really. I suspect some less particular boozers might get bumped out of their preferred pubs and gravitate upwards to my local. If they get there before me I'm fucked.

I'm thinking 'Spoons (where I don't go), and Northern Monkey where I do go.

There will also be less customer space available.

Carling is fine if you’re driving.
