Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted November 21, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted November 21, 2020 I think I went to both of them. Norwich in league Cup, 0-0? Hartlepool 0-2 win? Hartlepool colder on the open terrace. Cold wind was biting. Only time I've been that cold before - Cov f.a cup 3rd round and Oldham when Mike Doyle scored in both nets

I've got March time in my head. A bit moody between the benches, the same season that prick broke Came's leg in league Cup. Harry McInally their manager at the time, what an animal. Is he alive? No funeral, just a trampy paupers big fuck off hole! Bury, they hate us, we aren't that bothered, fucking irrelevant. Blackburn, similar to us, some are cunts some are okay. Would miss the rivalry we once had. Burnley, just 6 fingered inbred idiots, if they went pop I couldn't give a flying fuck. P.N.E, who gives a fuck, another irrelevant club with shit fans. Good alway day though. Blackpool, they had no fans pre-Oysten, they still don't, shit club, fairground gypsy thieving trampy twats, but would miss an away day. Trampmere, who ? 🙄 Noticed one missing in your list?

There would have been 5 more but my Chevette was beaten by the snow, came to a standstill and had to turn back. Dont think it was NY Day though. Never thought of this before but have we got a worse run of games than at Chester? (considering how small they are). I've been twice. After winning 3-0 at home in the 1st leg of a league cup tie in 83, we lost 3-0 then go out after E/T and pens. Final score on pens was 2-0. Nil pens scored!! Crowd 1,500. Thats the whole crowd, not the BW following. Then the aborted snow game. Then 0-0 under Phil Neal when the team got pelters from the BW fans in the main stand (away end closed for some reason). I didnt go to the last 2 games when we again got knocked out of league cup in 88, after winning home leg. Then the McGinlay debut goal game when apparently our fans werent too happy after going 2 down. Strange place, I dont think we've ever won there? Site Supporter MickyD Posted November 21, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted November 21, 2020 Best snowball interrupted game was Oldham about 77/78 season. Seemed like the whole away end spent the half time break making snowballs. Oldham’s keeper came trotting out for second half and was applauded by Bolton fans. Somewhat bemused, he clapped back and took his place in goal... Then the snowballs rained down on him.

The only reason i thought it was 77/78 was that my mate got thrown out and the head of 5th year mentioned it in Monday's assembly. Actually thaty makes it definitely not boxing day as we'd still have been off until new year. https://www.burndenaces.co.uk/bolton-wanderers-results/oldham-athletic.html
