Anyone know who the preferred bidder is?

No And it won’t come out for a while but interesting to see that they have made contact with the current “doesn’t exist fictional owner”.

Amazing how they’ve managed that when he doesn’t exist isn’t it according to some

Is it not very big?

It’s not that big and right next to the railway line so not that desirable,  hadn’t we sold it before Ken came to town?

Possibly yes. Best case there are two offers from the same bidder. One champ one not. Creditors suffer ultimately and it will be that case they will put to the efl pleading for the sake of the creditors. All done whilst begbies take 7 figures out the club in admin fees whilst not giving a hoot about the creditors.

Had a look on Chorley council website at the ‘local plan’ (it’s on the Buckshaw inset)....

https://chorley.gov.uk/Documents/Planning/Examination news/Buckshaw Village Inset Map 4.pdf

Certainly hasn’t been earmarked for anything in the 2015-2025 plan, I’d assume that you’ve got as much chance of getting planning for it now as you had then, so the price should be similar I imagine

It’s a decent size plot, but then again we sold it for a decent whack didn’t we? Wouldn’t be worth much more even with provisional planning permission for houses

Didn't Wigan / Whealan also buy Charnock Richard golf club back then and try to get planning to turn it into a training ground? Think they got refused so bought ours instead. Assume Whealen kept the golf club as it’s reopened as a restaurant
