The Chpionship clubs who throw everything at it to be promoted simply HAVE to get there inside 2, maybe 3, seasons or they're in deep trouble.

Each season adds fresh clubs coming down & currently with parachute money to make their task harder.

They then all seem to believe they'll be bought by some mega-rich new owner. It simply cannot end well for all of them.

There'll be more clubs "doing a Bolton" soon.

How many years have derby been out the premiership and continued to pay silly wages, suppose healthy home crowds have helped

They twice, once in the 80's and again in 2003 went bust & reformed as 'new Derby' as they dumped on their creditors. Now showing signs again. I have no issues with the town or its people or the clubs fans but how often can they do this & get away with it ?

Forest are seemingly in similar strife

Nice to see

Them, Derby and Sheff Weds all been at it for years - and probably the 3 highest attended clubs in the championship

And now they're being propped up by Rotherham and Wycombe

Just looked at championship table, Rotherham will probably survive so looks like 2 of those 3 going down with Wycombe.

Rules have been tightened up a lot since then (as we've found out)

I'd be happy to Derby and Forest drop - Sheff Weds may just be a bit better than their position suggests as they started on -6

IIRC the rules changed after Leicester City piled up a huge debt  (including building a nice new shiny stadium) and then went into administration knowing the points deduction wouldn't get them relegated. They then simply 're-formed' whilst still sitting pretty in the Championship. Different story for all the poor creditors though of course.

Less than 13 years later they were parading the PL Trophy in said nice new shiny stadium.

And everyones favourite second team

Bollocks it is

Have they ever paid off the small credivtors...i know theres no requirement to

Unsecured creditors nothing, secured got 30p in the pound. Some local businesses and suppliers went to the wall because of it. Nice

You know, now theyve got 100s of millions

Not that I know of. Ownership has changed a couple of times since so I very much doubt any new owner would feel any moral obligation to go back and pay the debts of a previous regime (but hey, that's business!). Plus a number of the small and medium businesses in question had already long since gone to the wall.

Southampton did something similar around that time as well I think?

Come on EFL. Do the decent thing. Pull up the fucking drawbridge. How much longer do these cunts get to stretch all this out? To me the options are:

1. Fine them a zillion points and ban the sale of pies in Wigan.

2. Make them play at Leigh Sports Village and DNA test their fans. Anybody found to be the product of interbreeding is banned from attending. The away end when Bolton visit will therefore be all parts of the stadium other than five seats behind the goal.

3. Introduce re-election for the first time since the 1980s on a one off basis and hold a vote in which every EFL club decides to chuck the "Tics" back in to the Conference. Then invite their fans back on to Bolton Town Hall steps so that the locals can line up to laugh at them (socially distanced obviously)

4. Tell them that they are not a viable business and on that basis they can fuck off forthwith, pronto, immediately and quicker than it takes to write out the word "believe". And introduce the death penalty for anybody who talks about broken legs in cup finals.

5. Any of the above options but with the additional measure of expunging their FA Cup win by "finding" betting or financial irregularities in 2013 in the lead up to the final.

6. All previous wins against Bolton Wanderers to be wiped from the record on account of the faulty decision to allow the cunts in to the league in the first place in 1978.

liberal.

I feel they should go further.

You’re getting soft.
