Members Rudy
Just now, snowball said: only 2 million apparently. Admins claiming that included supporters club putting up a million of that. Bidders mouthpiece (aka Nixon) reckons thats not true, they offered 2 million of their money. Anyway admins holding out for 3 for ground and 1 for training ground and chippy. Tick Tock Well how much do they need to continue for a season? paulhanley
Thing about this supporters club cash..once it's gone its gone. Are they going to raise the same cash two and three times over? Might buy them two or three months. Nothing more. They still need to find someone generous who is willing to buy a tinpot football club in a rugby town. Complete with supporters who have higher expectations than their pre and post peg-leg history suggest is realistic. My heart bleeds.
Members Rudy
If they ain’t got the funds to finish the season and can’t provide proof they’ll go pot The FL shouldn’t have let them start especially when they aren’t able to gain a revenue
Whitestar
If say they went next month and couldn't continue to the end of this season, what will happen to the points that 2 clubs have already taken from them? Will they be void or will they give all other s yet to play them an extra 3 points?

Site Supporter MickyD Posted September 20, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted September 20, 2020 It’d be great to see the words, “Wigan records expunged” when describing their last season in the EFL.

snowball
Think Covid is saving them at moment from a deadline or pressure from EFL. With so many clubs on a financial cliff edge no way they want to be seen pushing any one over the edge. EFL hoping admins will make it easy for them but as long as no fans stuff goes on cant see EFL pulling the handle (or pushing the button if you're posh) and flushing the turd yet. On the other hand if they have to expunge double figures worth of fixtures that'll be awkward too. My money is on the glorious moment arriving towards the end of October/start of Nov. Wouldn't Nov 5 be a good date. Chuck em on the flames.

Mounts Kipper
I think admin might pull the plug before EFL.
Whitesince63
How long can admin keep this going though with no income? Surely it can only be a matter of time before they are forced to pull the plug if no buyer is confirmed who will pick up the tab? Wigan can’t even sell season tickets so surely funds must dry up soon.
Underpants
Let's just say a deal is made right at the death. Will it have to go through the EFL and the fit and proper test? Or will that be part of the deal?

Farrelli
I can't believe the amount on here who are celebrating another team's demise. It could easily have been us. Accusing Wigan of being small time and irrelevant whilst we are currently bottom of L2. Glass houses and all that.
