What about the Gypsie King himself Tyson Fury? Had a shot of winning BSPOTY this year before he withdrew

If that’s not a reason to give the rest of his race the benefit of doubt then I don’t know what is

Stop being a daft old gammon racist

I'm still waiting 😃

Maybe everyone is BLM'd out.

They've all been sussed in their selective racism mate, just like BLM were months ago 😉

Loads on here think racism just exists in football and can't answer re the bigger picture.

Will add a bomb emoji my friend as I know you like them 😃 💣

Theres a difference between romany gypsies and lawless fuckers who choose to live in a tin can

Not sure which gypsies were being referred to in the earlier posts. There are probably more Roma in the U.K. now than the ones you referenced above. From my experience both here and in CZ, there is little difference between them.

It’s not a football problem.
they are prominent public figures because of their job which just happens to be a footballer. So it’s not a problem “in the game” per se. it’s a societal issue.

People can abuse and call people what they want without a real fear of reprisal. For every person arrested or dealt with for racially abusing someone online there will be thousands more that have no action taken against them.

aye, and football plays a big part in our society and lots of people watch it, so to me it seems a logical choice to make a stand, certainly more "effective" than county cricketers doing it

don’t start being a farrelli mate. Read my posts. Ive said I’m all for a stance being made. Nobody should have to suffer the abuse some of these people do. I just think the current taking the knee is now tarnished by events this summer. Needs replacing.

You said it would stop when the racism stops, yes or no ?

And I asked re them taking it to where it is widespread but you like them have to deflect the obvious and chat about a very easy and selective target like our national game.

Stick to Battlenips, you'll win that one.

I said "but I guess the kneeling stops when the racial stuff does"

like Birch I think you've took it a bit too literally - but the point is maybe footballers will stop taking the knee when they see a decline in abuse of black footballers

and the overall point is, if racism exists, I have no problem with people taking a stand against it - and we both know it will always exist, I'm not a fan of inaction

as for BLM as a global movement, I think they will have enough on their hands without trying to get involved in the Far East or China - those countiries do what they want and aren't changing because some westerners don't like how they go about things-  but if along the way they raise some awareness, fair play

and to be clear, when I talk about BLM and having no issue with it, I'm not talking about the extreme elements like that crank from Oxford who spends her weekends playing toy soldiers

as for battle nips, I can't win, I'm the quizmaster, I know the answers before you know the questions, but if you want I'll send you some of the original pics to study, to give you a chance of winning

and when you do, you can thank me later

Romani gypsies may disagree. Over 100,000 died alongside the Jews in Germany. Racial discrimination against the Romani’s in Europe is more widespread than any other race. No one bothers about Europe though. Unless it’s Brexit.

I'm talkign about the ones that turn up on local parks and ruin them, the ones who blatently rob local supermarkets when they're in town, and the ones that broke into my mrs's company's land and stayed there till they were given 2k to leave

and the ones when I worked at Tesco back in the 90s, when the reebok as a tip, they used to rock up on there a few times a year, come in, steal, intimidate - they even tried breaking in through the roof one night when i was doing a night shift

they are a regular problem, I don't like them

I've never knowingly discriminated against one, I just keep out of their way, but whenever they chose to impose themselves on my life or community, it's not pleasent

I think someone else earlier on was saying that the taking the knee was in support of ending all racial discrimination, not just against Black people

Its clear now that you think it’s only about ending racial discrimination against Black people

Personally I don’t think Footballers should only be making a stand against racism directed towards just one minority. Asians in the U.K. have had it just as bad as the Black community when it comes to racial discrimination

Why earth let BLM reduce the focus down to one group when we have Kick it Out that’s spent years trying to end discrimination against all minorities

You answered the BLM question re China and the Middle East with 'i think they've got their hands full'......priceless load of shit that is 😄

They know full well what would happen if they dared to take them on.

Theyre just fucking spineless and selective pricks, end of.

I will thank you when you can make a logical comment on China and the Middle East, until then don't bother replying fella, I won't be listening.

You are generalising though

It would be like allowing racism against all Blacks because you were once mugged by a Black person

It’s literally the same thing, racism

what do you want me to say?

I don't think western movements looking for equality can make much of a difference in way life goes on in China and The Middle East

I don't think it's spinless, it more the fact it would be pointless - western world leaders have never managed it, and they just let them get on with it, why would BLM step in?

How about they target Chinese takeaways then or lobby the government re the Middle East ?

Quite simple, they are selective.

Move along the bus please sir.

as I said to Boby, they are a persistent problem round my way

and anecdotal evidence suggests we're not the only ones

I wouldn't even know one to look at one

but if I hear they've rocked up in a park again, I know it's not to do some charity work in the area or go about their business quietly and discreetly

If that makes me racist, then so be it

I still don't mind footballers taking the knee
