Not sure how reliable that info is but - they gave a penalty in the first minute and let in 2 free kicks, not really his fault. Can blame his tactics and all the other stuff but individual errors are constantly letting us down. If they're squaring up to him he must have said something out of order. Which wouldn't surprise me after the Man Up comment.

There will be players doing their job to a reasonable level, let's say Tutte or Delaney for eg, and they sit in the dressing room and have to listen to be being bollocked for not caring, for being happy with Div 2 mediocrity etc. Its no surprise some would get wound up, IE wouldn't be on his own though it seems most managers do generalising after a defeat (or a win come to that). IE doesn't strike me as a softie, so it could point to Tobias having had a bigger say in the signings. 47 minutes ago, Mantra said: Not sure how reliable that info is but - they gave a penalty in the first minute and let in 2 free kicks, not really his fault. You misunderstand......I was mocking the tripe that gets trotted out every time a manager is under pressure (" Negative football " or a worldbeater who should be getting picked could be along soon )

Mr Grey 682
I remember Evatt saying a pre-season interview that if it wasn't working on the pitch he wouldn't hesitate to change it mid-game, I've not seen any of it yet and most games the football we have been trying to play hasn't been working, there's the odd 10 minute patch were it looks pretty, but overall it's been pretty poor. At this moment the players dont look up for it, they dont look comfortable on the ball and they are showing no urgency, intent or passion and they certainly dont look like they want to win a game. The only positives I can see at the moment are Santos, who has gradually got better by game, Tutte and Delaney looks sound enough but without being spectacular, buts its steadiness we need at the moment, Sarcevic looks fitter and he seems our only goal scorer. White looks okay to me, at least he looks comfortable on the ball and can play, there's a roll for him, unfortunately there's no fucker helping him out. As stated before, Evatt gets the time, we need to back him, most of all the players do.
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket 1,516 Posted November 3, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted November 3, 2020 White still has a habit of turning into trouble, and lacks some physicality. Doesn't appear dynamic. Sarcevic starting to look the part, but Crawford is too lightweight and can't tackle. Favours a poor man's Claus Jensen.
kent_white 1,222
Evatt said last week that he thinks half the problem is that these players can't form any bonds outside of training. They just come in and then leave without being able to socialise. Clutching at straws here but maybe that's a factor?

What has happened to Crawford? He’s so inconsistent! I’d have had him off today, but that said there’s probably no one else who puts that pass through for the goal. He has patches where he’s looking for the ball all the time (even though 6/10 he’s giving it away) and then other times he disappears - Claus Jensen is a great comparison. It could be a team of strangers but don’t think it’s been much different at a lot other clubs this season. Comes down to the mentality of the players and Evatt mentioned that was something they looked at when they signed them . So he is back peddling with that one

There's probably an element of truth in it, and it's a particular problem for us as we have a whole new squad, but just like the suggestion earlier in the season that having a crowd behind us might've spurned us on to victory, it feels like something to put forward when looking to make excuses. I don't mean you personally because I've been looking for things to explain what's happening myself, and I think we all want to avoid having to admit our team's just not very good, but I think sometimes we just have to face facts - they need to do better. Site Supporter Biggish Dave 505 Posted November 4, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted November 4, 2020 Saturdays team could well be interesting. I can see a good few squad players getting a game, Greenidge will start, Mascoll/Gordon, Gilks, Hickman will all play too. Might be too soon for Miller and Isgrove to start but think both will get minutes and I can see Darcy dropping back to play in Crawford’s roll
