Sad news. Its a shame we couldn't send our respects. Absolutely loved the Wanderers and always put the miles in. Seen more bad times watching bolton than any of us and, unlike some, he never deserted

Lovely man Jeff. Again, met him through the Euro away days.

Recall how distraught he was in Madrid city centre having been pickpocketed within minutes of arriving (he wasn’t alone). All his money and passport. I slipped him €50 to tide him over for the day. Never expected it back. But he did repay it, probably in Lisbon.

Regularly saw him at Old Trafford stewarding for Lancs. Often joking how many beers I was sneaking in passed him and his colleagues.

Well known in the Bolton pub quiz leagues by all accounts. And pretty sure a friend to two of the “Chasers”.

RIP Fellow Wanderer.

We kidnapped him in Lisbon, we were in the town centre and on our way down to the docks and I said 'Are you coming down the docks Biffo' he said 'No Widders it's my bed time' I said 'Get in the fucking taxi' Anyhow he did, and got the round in at the first bar

Silly old cunt

Be good Biffo and I'm sure we'll all see you soon

Ah, that’s lovely. You should write obituaries for a living.

Sad to hear this news. Always had time for a chat, especially if I'd travelled to a game on my own.

Was part of the Budapest to Belgrade bus, was good to spend time with him then.

@SatanGreavsie, can we have the story from one of the Euro trips where he was telling a story about Tadeusz Nowak. I'll let you do the punchline.

Managed to wind up poor Garp who had driven 5 hours, 200 yards from the hotel

150 quid for a new wing mirror

Don't think I've ever seen those two freeloaders who nearly got us shot, since

Me (wearing my home made Taddy Nowak tshirt), Biff, H and Buckhurst were in a nice little eatery somewhere off a random walk in Marseille early afternoon of the game. Biff is banging on about stuff as he used to, bless him. On and on and on...

There's a family of Bolton fans in as well. They pay and get up and leave and then a few minutes later the dad comes back in. I assumed he'd left his wallet or summat, as he'd made the effort to come back in. He points at my tshirt and says "Tadeusz Nowak" then points at Biff and says "Tedious Nowak" and fucks off. Cue much merriment and a grumpy Biff. He'd cheered up by the time we'd staggered back to the hotel and H passed out.
