What’s it for mate? It’s not something that you normally sort yourself

If your getting a mortgage then the mortgage provider would usually use someone off their panel to asses a property for a new purchase

They generally low ball the valuation whatever the situation

For a purchase aye. The mortgage provider haven’t offered anyone over than the building valuation.

It's all desk top surveys at the moment.  We were a bit surprised when they told us.  Unless you opt for the more expensive option.

Haha oh aye

We finished a big extension last year, give me a shout if your stuck on anything, might be able to point you in the right direction

Not on a surveyor mind, we didn’t bother getting anything other than the valuation done, didn’t seem any point when were ripping it to bits

We paid for the expensive one when we bought this house. All good, well apart from the fact there is stream that runs under the house that flooded when it rained and it was not picked up. Too much to expect them to lift floorboards or use either of the inspection areas where there are loose boards to allow access.
The ombudsman man agreed with them too.

Crazy

What did they say in their defence to get away with that?
