Duck Egg
Arsenal made over 50 staff redundant this summer in a cost cutting exercise whilst simultaneously offering contracts to Aubameyang and Willian in excess of 200k a week. The EPL clubs wont be helping EFL clubs any time soon.

Some will have transfer money to pay from previous deals etc Can't see a benevolent fund suddenly appearing. You get about £100m from TV even if you finish bottom. Burnley get less than £10m in gate receipts only Arsenal and United are getting close to £100m but that’s high priced corporate boxes and expensive ST’s that bump that up. They would all be fine. Aye and Gate revenue won’t change it. It’s a mess. Why you think more and more sponsors are getting involved. PL shirts are starting to look like F1 clothing, stadium naming rights are going for astronomical amounts of money. Everyone is chasing either staying in the PL, European football , or the title. Only so many spaces are available and it’s a roll of the dice. Villa staying up last season was bigger than them getting promoted.

I get that gate receipts are small, but if your also asking for a bigger share of their money to be past down the chain, they're going to start getting worried. birch-chorley
According to this Premier League clubs lost £700m last season and continue to lose £100m a month as the gates remain closed, doubt they will be signing up for fairer distribution anytime soon... I say ‘I wonder’ but I don’t really. They’d still be demanding their contracted wages even if in doing so it’ll ensure the club folds. Trouble is, there will always be a competitor willing to do it. Only way to solve it is a salary cap, but of course that would put the Premier League immediately behind other European leagues. Ghana White
Saw workington play rammy few years back. Workington had a coach load of about 50 fans, everyone from about 8-80 looked like they could handle themselves.. didn't cause any bother but it would have been madness/brave to cross em. Ghana White
Durham and Northumberland FA now saying that 15% capacity allowed into the ground, face masks to be worn at all times and bars to be shut an hour before kick off till an hour after. Could be tricky 150 capacity and I think 230 season ticket holders last i heard.
Ghana White
Actually just checked it strongly advises bar is shut, I guess a lot will ignore that
captainmed
Except for near normal viewing & social conditions, I would rather not bother watching a live game. Especially not with only a thousand fans dotted everywhere anyway. Football is about having a drink, socialising, the atmosphere, comradarie, supporting, shouting, drinking in new towns and within reason doing what you want, when you want. Take away most of that and what have you got left? If it has to be I-follow, then so be it.
