I wouldn't quite put it like that, but some fair points there. As you get older it's only natural that you start planning for retirement, you do get more aches and pains, at the end of the day we

Once upon a time, a bloke living at the other half of the planet joined Wanderersways. He was alright, decent conversation and sense of humour.

Then he totally lost his sense of humour and became a boring old fucker.

The end.

The older some fellas get, the less they give a shit.

This allows any more right wing thoughts to cascade over the hypothalamus and straight out of the body, when they'd previously been kept in check.

Retirement, all those little aches and pains, constantly checking life insurance policies, not understanding why younger generations are zipping past them, only getting pokey wets once a month.

All these things are a Sword of Damocles that leer and threaten above their wrinkly heads. It makes them less able to manage thoughts that aren't completely linear and simple.

Galling indeed that a lifetime of graft brings the big rewards when they are too old to fully appreciate them.

I'd be fucked off too.

As you get older it's only natural that you start planning for retirement, you do get more aches and pains, at the end of the day we are closer to death, I personally don't think anybody become more right wing, you just become less socialist because policies, taxes, lost relatives etc have more of an impact on your life and you start looking after number 1 and your family. It doesn't mean you have stopped caring in general.

You go from mild cheddar to mature.

Well this thread has cost me £30 in cheese orders today

- Cotswold Blue Log (Bit of blue)

- Petit Langres (Bit of soft)

- Pecorino Rosso (Bit of hard)

With some Miller's Ale Crackers to accompany them.

Treat for the other half to cheer her up in the delightful redundancy week.
