I second this. Not be because Rudy was born though. The year I was born and made my mum and dad skint 👍

Fucking hell! Make an old man feel even older. I was 25 in 1987.

Cant pinpoint a year but the 12-18 month period between finishing uni summer 04 and getting a real job end of 05 I would love to do all again.

Euros were great, loved working at Blockbusters, paying minimal rent at home, could go out every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and not be rough Sunday, had loads of mates close by, Bolton was a top night out, Manchester was exciting, went to Ibiza when DJ's could still play outdoors and you could still find trance and not just guitar bands everywhere. Went travelling around Europe on my own, Wanderers were ace. No ties, no expectations. The days.

Been loads but the era of the 90’s was brilliant. Could be any year in that lot.

Left school, started boozing, BWFC we’re winning and usually played good stuff, England did ok, brilliant lads holidays, no financial worries as still living at home.

If I had to plump for 1 year though, I’d say 97

2001. In college, watching bolton home and away, coach trips to bowlers, vibelite, species and north.

Sportsmans dinners, Si Robby coach trips.

Staying in Bolton or Chorley after matches and getting last train home or first train the following morning.

Not a care in the world or a single fuck given.

1966.

Spent the early part helping my Dad and older brother renovate a terraced house Dad bought next door but one to the one we were renting and living in.

My first Wanderers match.

Left Junior school and became a commuter to Secondary by bus. Big step.

Moved into the new house the day the World Cup started. Disappointing 0 - 0 draw against Uruguay to start. It was followed by 3 weeks that I’d give anything to live through again.

1984 was ace, banged the fuck out of a bird I thought I loved 😜

1989 Spike Island, the 2nd summer of love and probably off my tits for the following 10 years on E's & Whizz, according to Pulp, and a brilliant Freight Rover day out at Wembley 🤓

2007 Met my beautiful wife, 11th Wedding anniversary today, done loads, top shag, she's fit and funny and hates football 🥰

Spike Island was 1990. See my answer😀
