Hopefully we can keep picking up a few results and then push on during November and early December when we come up against Mansfield, Stevenage, Scunthorpe, Southend. Get to the New Year in the upper half of the table and push on from there.

Next job - pick up some home wins.

On the topic of home wins. They had plenty (ok 30/40! - but in present climate that’s more than I’ve seen!) of “official staff”/fans potted around the stadium who were quite vocal. Can we get a few more “official staff” in there to cheer the boys on?

I might see if I can pass off as my 80 year old dad! (Tour guide for bwfc) and use his pass/“status” to get into these home games 😂

I think someone mentioned Jordan Archer on here recently, out of contract keeper, presume we can still sign a freebie? Evatt needs to sort out our goalkeeping situation, because Crellin is going to cost us a lot of points this season if he perseveres with him.

If we can get the 3rd centre back right I don't think we will look back.

Or just play with 2? Surely Taft can do a job at left back and Brockbank right back?  That gets Baptiste out and allows us to have another midfielder (Darcy).  IE has signed 4 left footed defenders - its not like he's inherited them, he's talked them up as good players - and doesn't seem to rate any of them at the moment.

I don’t like that personally. Sounds like Evatt putting his own ego before his player’s mentality, which isn’t good IMO

However, it all depends on the reaction from the keeper as to if it’s the right thing or not

If thats the extent of his comments, im just about onside

He got a reaction after oldham and hopefully he knows how to push crellins buttons

But they looked good at the back today and didn’t really look to be in any trouble, taking away Crellin’s error. And they created chances going forward. A good balance. After a positive performance like that I wouldn’t be in a rush to change his formation

The same folk who are probably calling for us to get Matthews back.  Conveniently forgetting he threw quite a few ricks too.  It happens.  It's how he responds now

Made a few mistakes out of about 20 shots every game that he faced.  Tell me one game last season when he didnt make saves.  I just dont see Crellin making saves, that free kick at Barrow from Taylor - Matthews would have caught that.  Just poor all round keeper, its not like there's one problem area

It looked like a proper winning team out there and I was more than happy, ironic that the time we come out with a Barcelona shirt we stopped playing that slow tip tappy stuff at the back.

Crelin seemed to take his eye off the ball at a critical moment, no idea why but it happened and you win and lose as a team, being slated with an OG is unfair although it did look a bit Felgate-esque. Not sure about a manager publicly criticising a player, that sort of thing should be kept behind closed doors in my opinion.

Lets hope we keep that intensity and kick on now. I used to work in Cambridge and I have received a few texts today from U's supporters I know telling me we look like a top half side (and they had an off day).

as for crellin, for his own good, it may be time for a sit down

Awful ball to have to deal with in the conditions, but he has to be shaken after that

Id also say that folk writing off keepers at 20 never saw jussi at 20 odd

The point being, most first team keepers arent 20.  Its just puzzling why our's is.

Keepers at this level make mistakes.  See the Grimsbys blokes cock up today.  I'm not sure I've ever forgiven Matthew's for his shocker at Wigan but he never did it again.  Crellin gets another chance for me.

I thought Crawford and Delaney were fine tbh. Game of opinions though.

It seems incredible that anyone can question Delaney playing.  Literally not put a foot wrong in the previous 2 home games.  So if he made a mistake or 2 today, that's allowed, like Van Dyke does occasionally.  If you want to drop a player you have to suggest a better replacement.

Thought we were the better team today and looked sharper going forward and better organised at the back. Not bad at all against top of the league away. I think it will be a slow recovery but signs we could push the playoffs second half of the season.

Crellin can't play the next game surely. Got to get a replacement.

Crawford was better today . Much better . Tutte had a good game too. He tracks back well and doesn't take chances. Allows sarce to push on.

I'm going to guess that Tutte is the only player yet to get "he is shite" treatment off anyone on here.  There's an argument for him to be first name on teamsheet if we choose to play with that type of player instead of the more dynamic Darcy.  Yet IE keeps dropping him in favour of Comley, who was presumably injured to not be on the bench.  I still expect Comley to be back the next time he's available in the same way Crellin will be persevered with.

I expect Tom White to push both Tutte and Comley out.....Does not matter how good Tutte plays

No like for like for Doyle.

Hopefully miller and Isgrove are ready to go tuesday
