Is he actually any good

dunno if this league is just cack

might we get some interest in January from division 2?

500k would surely be hard to turn down?..or maybe hes just a 50k lump

Pep’s got his eye on him already.

£40m minimums.

If him and Delaney stay fit and Crellin is nowhere to be seen we’ll have the best defence in the league, don’t see anyone dropping half a mill on one player in this climate so I’d imagine he’ll be here until at least the summer.

Clean sheets win leagues, he could be a vital asset one way or another

That is a very good point. Can see the transfer market in this league being very quiet for the foreseeable future.

Why sell him for 500k. We need to get out of this league and dare i say league 1 in the next three four years. Irrespective of whatever league we are in we will have a big rebuilding job again come summer. If we get promoted Santos,Delaney,Tutte,Darcy,Sarcevic,Politic Possibly Isgrove and Doyle are the only players good enough to play at a higher level. If we dont go up keep the same players add Jones,Miller. The rest need binning whatever league we are in

I've never seen a player turn around what was absolute diabolical  form in such a spectacular fashion as Santos.

He probably could play at a higher level on current form - but I don't get the sense that we're under any great pressure to sell. Mumblings seem to be about strengthening the squad rather than the other way around?

I could be talking absolute bollocks like :)

There's a grave possibility of folk getting carried away after half a dozen good games in essentially a pub league. I like the way he's playing right now, but let's hang fire a bit.

We don't do anything

We just chat shit

In view of the so called moneyball philosophy, its worth a discussion

If he's worth 50k, he stays

There'll be a price where we sell

Fuck knows if we ever get offered it

Now I am on record saying he’s the worst player ever to pull the shirt on.

But I said that about Zat Knight once upon a time.

As exciting as a 4 game streak is, I’ve slept on it, had a wank, and think maybe we see where we are at xmas.

Santos has shown he’s capable of being awful. But I’m dead chuffed he’s turned it round.

I had wrote him off however last night I noticed two things

A ball got played down the channel Santos went after it then I heard Gilks shout, left shoulder LEFT, Santos got the ball turned out right and knocked the ball to feet, their striker was on Santos left shoulder , gambling on a backpass or tackling him.

Then almost identical ball, Gilks shouted My right, without looking Santos knocked it into the path of Gilks right foot.
Withiut hearing Gilks that either looks like blind luck or telepathic football, but it’s just a commanding goalkeeper helping him out.

He reads the game well, he’ll win a header against most, he can play, can tackle, strong as an Ox.

I knew I may have written him off too soon when IE said he’ll be a big player for this club, that to me was him saying listen I’ve seen something you haven’t, give him time and he will.

Yeah we’re playing shite but you can only beat the team in front of you and we were playing shite at the beginning of the season and he was abysmal

Highly likely he wasn't getting that help from Billy the fish
