OK, just another club's player now but I remain interested in the progress of a former player who I was extremely impressed with.

Well, I say 'progress' but there's been none. Even in a pub league, even in the various cup competitions ... not one appearance in 18 months. Not even on the bench. Last night for example, 11 playing, 10 on the bench, not a sign of him.

In pre-season he got a few run-outs, was highly praised and then .... nothing.

He's fit, he's still saying positive things. Celtic are playing shite. Lennon is under fire.

If not in the first 21 selections they could at least loan him out. Not to us, though I'd be delighted, we don't play our own wonder-kinder unless by accident & we're 4th Division currently.

Maybe a lesson to players to be more selective where you go.

Does anyone know anything more on what's going on ?

Is he not just a bit shit, hence getting no game time?

The way the little tosser engineered his move away with the club at his lowest ebb, i couldn't care less if he never plays football again

Let's be honest, if we weren't at our lowest ebb, he's have been nowhere near the first team.

We do tend to spaff our loads over lads from the youth team. See Clough before Connell and Darcy now.

They'll find their level and if we make a bit of money while they do, all good. At least we ain't getting screwed for quality players like in the past. Thommo, Eidur, Sasa, etc etc

I think Connell will turn out to be a very good player. He was head and shoulders above Clough and Darcy from what little I saw.

Tribunal fee, i think

And scouse twat on the panel

funny thing were John McGinlay got redhot after , so much so that he got more caps for scotland (seem to remember him getting stick) than Walker ever did playing back up there.

think he scored the winner against sweden that all but qualified them for euro96 (i think it were).

dont think he played after that though . going back to tried and tested mccoist and , i dunno ,Gordon Durie.

Think Bertie Vogts had to sort it  eventually .

john mcginlay scored 50 ish goals for us around that time.

john aldridge couldnt even sabotage us properly .

We were a car crash of a club when he left .In my opinion he chose the wrong option. Staying he would have played barring injury a full League 1 season. There were options for him in the championship where again he would have got some game time. There is still time for him to break through but I think he chose badly.

Don't  wish the lad any malice just think he was badly advised.

I think that's about the size of it.

I don't know the lad, but it looks as if mum and dad and the agent panicked and jumped into the lifeboat. He might be looking at the Bolton News papers every day, checking on what he could have been a part of. After all he will need something to occupy his time, he's not playing much football.

They’ve got a huge squad. I wasn’t aware Griffith’s was self isolating so was surprised he wasn’t playing? Unless I missed that bit of the announcement Matt?

Not sure if he's unfit but I'm sure he played the other week. Shame how his career is panning out but mental health comes above all.
