Deservedly.

Anyone who takes up the post of managing there is going to fail as their fans are deluded fecks. Add that to him being the most uninspiring, caution first, big boot neanderthal and it was a marriage made for divorce.

It's a shame they didn't give him a bit longer to fail more completely.

The fan's choice is "Super Kevin Phillipss'.

With zero experience. Even suggesting Poyet returns with 'SKP' his announced deputy to take over in 18m. Some even fancy Roy Keane's return coz, apparently, "he's learnt his lesson & no longer has temper issues".

As I said, deluded feckwits.

SKP akin to those who wanted Nolan in here

Not sure why they’re any more deluded than we are? They are a huge club in fairness

Disagree on them being a big club. They can pull numbers when all is well but they drop off quicker than most when it’s not going well.

They are deluded like the majority of north east fans spouting its in their blood and all that bollocks as opposed to the rest of us.

I tend to care little about other clubs support especially teams like Sunderland but they deserve a mention as a fickle/deluded.

Good example was Boxing Day last season. 15k less than the year before and they were on the teams back from the word go.

Like the Geordies who have played in front of sub 10k crowds when they were shite.

Looking on a SAFC forum the mood is euphoric. Some names mentioned; one or two in jest I guess; as replacement: Cowley brothers, Megson, Pearson, Big Sam, Joey Barton, Roy Keane, Lennon, Chris Wilder, Gus Poyet.

Oh god please. PLEASE

Their fans have no concept of the £2.5m wage cap in Div.3. Read their posts & you'd think it didn't exist. Their views of who they should/can sign & how simple they think it'll be to bin some of their squad certainly comes under anyone's definition of deluded.

Due to the cut-off point of introducing the wage cap this summer they got away with their current wage bill of over £10m. If they don't get promoted this time then they will need to release pkayers. They won't be able to pay them off &, viewed as failures, no-one will want them.

They HAVE to get promotion this time.

They're pinning their hopes on a take-over but, like their Tyneside friends, talks have been going on for a year.

No-one will sign as their new long-term manager until ownership is sorted out unless desperate or courted by the new owners if things are close
