can't find another thread, but just listened to gordon sharrock being interviewed about his career following Bolton, really good listen.

Good recommendation - an excellent listen

Did not realise Gordon started covering the Wanderers in the Ian Greaves Era - had always thought Frank Booth was still there at that time.

He provides some very interesting views on his early years covering the Wanderers - the clubs demise from 1979 and into the 1980s, Phil Neal, the appointment of Bruce Rioch , the play off games against Wolves,  and in his later years his take on Gary Megson.

Ben Marshall on under the cosh has some brilliant stuff on coyle during his awful stint at Blackburn.

As a podcast its a hard listen when they have 3 interviewers all trying to chip in, especially when one of them is a half cut jon Parkin. 2 hours + is also way too long.

Can’t listen to just to the sound.

Has to be on YouTube .

Reactions and visual timing much better.

The recent episode of this with Jeff Chandler is a really excellent listen for Bolton fans who remember his era at the club. Marc Iles didn't ask him various questions I'd have asked. I'd have asked for his memories of the last games of 81/2 when pulled off the great escape from Div 2 relegation, about what it was like being in a team that lost its first 14 away league games of the season in 84/5 and his return to Burnden after signing for Derby and the volatile reaction he got.

We didn't get the biggest crowds in those days but it could still be hostile 😊. To say he got dogs abuse that day would be an understatement.
