We are not talking movement of prices.....We are talking  losing your whole stock......Would not touch High Street shops or Airlines with a barge pole

Which is why you choose to take the risk or not.

Just checked ftse 250 which is best indicator for my pension over 3% up, I’ve been chucking in a grand a month including tax relief for the last 12-15 months, great to see some growth after the big Covid drops.

Got a feeling my next statement is due. Dont think I'll bother looking at it tbh.

Maybe the next one when we've largely had our vaccine.

You maybe surprised. Mine is now in profit for the year by 2%.

It was 25% down.

Took a look. After deducting the money I’ve put in since March, it’s gained a couple of %. Will take that.

Good rally on the markets generally since March but the FTSE should still have a way to go in 2021 to catch up with other world indices.

The lack of tech and heavy on banks/oil etc have held it back.

I would be surprised if it isn’t at least 7000, maybe more by Y/E 2021.

DYOR.

Anyone with a decent investment plan won’t be totally uk based though.

I had a mate whose mum would only invest in places she did business with. She made a fortune somehow.

I have given up trying to understand stock market.

Up nearly 3% today.

Stop looking at it and just get on with your life. If it's a long term investment it will be fine.

Go and buy an apartment in Lytham and chill out

. I find it fascinating. Not really the impact on me (although that is the longer term goal) but we get really bad news and it jumps nearly 3%.

An old boss I had got into buying and selling what were basically penny shares. He would be sat in meetings updating on the performance Of Gulf Keystone Petroleum ignoring the fact it had nothing to do with work.
