It was relatively straight forward though, and when I suddenly appeared in that Tatooine-style cave/lobby place, my brain nearly popped. Incredible piece of kit for the price. Lad spent the rest of the morning in 'Job Simulator' cooking pizzas and fixing cars and throwing shit at robots. It's the type of gaming experience I dreamt of as a kid. If you use a false name (I assume their systems cross-check it against payment methods), they could potentially ban you from the Oculus network altogether - rendering your machine useless. Tungsten's insinuation is - you are giving facebook permission to monitor EVERYTHING you do do with your Oculus Quest - so if you use it to watch VR porn, their system will have a record of it and they know your name. I'm not sure what they might do with that knowledge, but that's what he's talking about. I understand the privacy concern, but I'm not particularly fussed as I simply registered a facebook account in my real name, then locked it down in the security settings so it doesn't exist to anyone else but me, and I doubt my 8 year old is going to be downloading any VR porn in the near future. Do is work.? Listens to and sees what you search for, especially with WhatsApp if you have Facebook, because they’re the same Company.
