Duck Egg
Thomas Cook cancelled our holiday to the Dolomites yesterday. We weren't due to go until the last 2 weeks in August. They've pulled all their Italian holidays for this year apparently.

Moderators Casino Posted May 5, 2021 Moderators Share Posted May 5, 2021 Did it not hear we have about 8 people a day going through heathrow and its taking hours and hours and hours to process them? Gutted not to go, but while you might get pinged with isolation on return, its not practical for me

Dimron
Just now, Escobarp said: How on earth is it anti social? Somebody going abroad with their family is anti social? Please do explain? We are so well ahead of our neighbours when it comes to vaccinations. When they come up to our levels then it will be less anti social. So off you go to Portugal, mix with tourists from a league of nations all with various types of coronavirus then sit in your jam packed 737 for two or three hours on the way home sharing each other's newly acquired variants via the pressurisation system and then go back to work and/or school with your new variant of what is obviously a very young and plastic virus. Then we all go down with new variant which is resistant to existing vaccines and off we go again. I think it is too early and there are plenty of holidays to be taken nearer to home, global travelling was, and is a big spreader of this disease as the Indian delegation to the G7 has just demonstrated. Be swimming with covid riddled folk judged on your analysis. Waving them in. Positive test only allows entry anyway I can’t wait to get on holiday personally. Happy to test before and after and quarantine at home as required if on the amber list.

Site Supporter Spider Posted May 5, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted May 5, 2021 I don’t mind wearing a mask in England to live a fairly normal life. Fucked if I’m wearing one in 40 degree heat whilst queueing to get into a restaurant. Each to their own, but unless things are normal I’ll probably skip it for this year. Hotel I’m going to in September have confirmed via e-mail that staff wear masks but guests aren’t required to wear them inside or outside but of course they can if they choose. Hotel is fully open also. But it is very much each to their own. I wouldn’t criticize anyone for not wanting to go for any reason. i will simply crack on and be an anti social cunt and bring back alsorts of new strains
Mounts Kipper
I swear some folk revel in being locked down, genuinely think it’s they're danger of being diagnosed with a mental issue. Get yourself on holiday, life’s to short, your chances of dying are virtually fuck all if you’re vaccinated.
