A shame, just as we bring in a left wing back, we lose our right wing back !!

Maybe Jones, Brockbank, Baptiste or Hickman might play there.

We need to be getting rid of some "defenders" before bringing more in.

Having recruited John, a wing back, I'd guess that the plan was to play with 3 at the back & 2 wing backs, John & Kioso, but  that plan looks buggered now with Kioso gone & none of the others as good as him in the attacking role......Jones & Brockbank are better defenders.

fwiw i like Kioso, he seemed to have a very good attitude & we'll miss him, but ,as yet ,I don't think he's good enough for the championship.

If we’re going to play four at the back then we have cover at right back anyway . Might leave a bit a room to bring another striker in on loan . Looking at the bright side

This.

I know John was signed as a left wing back but surely can also play as a genuine left back and get up and down the line. I wish him well but if it frees up a space to strengthen elsewhere....

Do we think Baptiste has the lungs to be an effective defender and attacker?

Going forward, yes, although final ball was often poor.
Defensively, not great.

Agreed.  Very replaceable, especially if IE drops the wingback system and uses the players he's got in their natural positions.

Frees up another place in the squad for a striker or keeper.

This sort of thing has happened too frequently this season- new players getting fucked over. Come on Rudy- is something amiss within the training?

I was thinking the same.

I imagine his training is pretty intense and, who knows, maybe it should be.

Aye. Do they use the scientific data etc that BSA utilised- checking where players are up to etc before flogging them?

Rudy will know; but its happening too much. Will clubs think twice before loaning players to us?
