Took my dad for vaccine at the etihaad, was superbly run in and out in 5 minutes, there was hardly anyone in there, the number of nurses there they could have been easily doing 1000s an hour, superbly run well organised, great job done by all.

Took mine there too - smooth as you like. Was about 15min from start to finish. Bring it on - was sad that they didn't say to me "well whilst you're here".....

I’m part of the team that doing vaccinations at a hospital in Cheshire. My role is to offer IT support to the team when required and occasionally book patients in.

Everyone has an appointment time and are asked to arrive 5 mins before to complete some paperwork. They are then booked in, vaccinated and then have to wait 15 minutes to check for any side effects.

What slows the process down is key workers not providing evidence of their role and people turning up claiming to be a key worker.

Also the number of DNA’s also pisses me off along with the ones who turn up with their partner and ask if they can have it while they’re there.

Apparently not happening with the Oxford vaccine but I had to wait 15 mins after the Pfizer.

same, although they needed the seats when I went so you could actually go before the 15 mins

speaking to the staff, no one has actually had any side affects in that window, so expect that to be lifted soon

My Mums currently in hospital, had her invite for the jab at the doctor ls while she's there

There is no process in place for her to have the jab in the hospital at this moment as its not part of the current policy at this time, so there is a group of people who really do need it missing out

Hoping this changes quickly

This is Bolton, not sure if its the same anywhere else

I had my vaccine on Saturday and was in and out in 20 minutes including the waiting time. I was very impressed with the organisation of the center and the way the staff were with you. very helpful and informative. It was also mad to see the scale of what is required. So much IT and other items needed to ensure everyone is processed smoothly and efficiently.

Non Covid and at home

Just feels like there's a group of people who may be delayed in getting it

No idea how she would be well enough to get it even if/when she comes out

When I spoke to the doctor at hospital he said it was being discussed at the moment, hopefully it gets sorted

From what I understand, those not getting it, will flag up and be sent for again.

Still, might be worth contacting your mum's gp.
