HRH Prince Philip retired from public life at 96.

There's plenty life in the old bloke (Big Joe) yet...

And insinuating noncery at a 78 year old bloke, a man who buried his wife and daughter at 32 and 6 years old respectively and has more on two lines of his CV than Trump has during his entire sorry existence is very poor form imo.

On the senate 6 times, one of the youngest ever senate members. Part of the committee that drafted a plan to get US soldiers out of Saigon safely after the war, helped get through the violence against women act through the senate, 8 years as VP and only the 13th member to go from VP to President.
He has dedicated his life to politics and deserves the respect.

First time i've seen much of Biden last night because it was all over the UK news channels when i was wanting news of the storm and the horrific UK covid death toll.Think the news channels were wrong if they uk viewers are arsed about a boring US political ceremony.Felt a bit embarrassd for him when he was stumbling over his words, he isn't a great communicator which should be near the top of the list for any leader in the modern era

Can't be arsed reading this thread. The hypocrisy was mindblowing. "No more screeching" after his side of politics gave birth to it, nurtured it and turned it into an art form. He just doesn't want any of it on his watch.

Pandering to minorities clearly a central pillar of his strategy.

He'll be lucky to see out four years by the looks of him.

I'd hazard a guess it wasn't just democrat households where the drink was flowing last night...

Hopefully decent Republicans can start to rebuild now.

Yeah hopefully so, don’t like the idea that the republicans are far right bad guys who hate anyone who isn’t white, it’s simply not true, now is the time to build up their party with strong candidates

He speaks well for someone who has had a stammer his whole life

When even the tea party hate you, you know you've slipped the anchor of normaility.

A bloke with the ability to talk even if a lot of it is bullshit unbeknown to them. The masses  (voters) want to listen to someone who can talk, both of them are a class below the Scots woman when it comes to communicating going off the few minutes i stuck it out watching Biden.

He's certainly got his work cut out trying to follow this erudite orator...

Good film

"Pelosi is a sick woman, she's got  a lot of problems, a lot of mental problems"

Doubtful whether a president should be saying that but it was communicated confidently

You could be a Republican to the right of Strom Thurmond, if you had half a brain by rights you'd have been cringing every time he opened his uneducated gob.

He's pretty much a box tick for someone whom traditional Republicans wouldn't want for a leader...

Draft-dodger rather than veteran.

Inherited wealth rather than self-made.

Serial bankrupt rather than financially prudent.

Conspiracy-spouting barmpot rather than one who's pragmatic and common sense led.

Serial philanderer, whoremaster who keeps porn queens as a consort rather than monogamous family man.

Appointments guided by nepotism rather than guided on merit.

I could go on...

Hopefully, with the likes of Grizzly Adams, Robbie Savage, Laurie Learjet and Macy from Knoxville banged up the Republicans can reclaim their party from the lunatic fringe and begin to claw back some credibility.
