Greenidge has looked okay in his last two appearances for us. Not sure I'd trust him as one of two CBs though.

I thought Taft looked okay last night, but I'd not be swapping him for either Baptiste or Santos. I would swap him for Delaney though.

So instead offering a bit of praise to the manager for improving and settling our defence after series of relatively unknowns and offloading what appears to be the correct player, we have to criticise him for bringing that one player in the first place?

I think greenidge has shot his bolt

If lee is fit, id guess we might see the white muamba at cb if needs must

Nah, that's the sort of thinking that has fucked city and Liverpool over these last couple of seasons

If lee is allowed to do this job in midfield let a defender do theirs at the back

Agree with that 100%.  Midfielders at centre back - memories of the misuse of Bridcutt.  Let's stick with round pegs in round holes.

Its not like hes not played there before

I didnt say id want him to be there, just that i thought he may be first reserve for cb

As i dont expect to see greenidge again

Hes prob after delaney, on reflection

Reckon you're right. MJW can play there and that's the benefit of having him.

Him in front of the two central fellas does seem more appealing though.

What you do in a crisis and what you plan for are 2 different things.  Not saying he'd let anyone down if all our defenders went down with Covid, but currently it looks like he's the preferred option to be centre back if Santos or Baptiste is injured.  I think we all agree he's playing well in front of the back 4, so that's where we want him.  Lee wasn't in the squad yesterday, so if Santos gets injured, we're weakening 2 positions just for the want of having Delaney on the bench instead of Comley.  I'm scratching my head on that one (but not as much as with the no sub keeper).

Thought he was Ryan Delaney's!

Anyway what's point in arguing about recruitment like Johnny when we have so obviously stepped up a gear in January. Phoenix has gone the club was at its absolute lowest (hopefully) in the summer we threw a lot of shit at the wall and some stuck some didnt. Since then FV & IE have both delivered thats what matters
