Youri McAnespie 809
Apologies for the asleep (opposite to 'woke') turn of phrasing... Biggest fucking rip off twats - out them here... Holland and Barrett 1000mg Omega capsules (250) - £24.99! Even with their 'buy one get one for a penny' offer that's £12.50. Same thing in Home Bargains is £3.79. Robbing bastards. Surely nobody can beat that for ridiculous markup? They've got to be nailed on to go pop? Same fatal mistake as HMV, Woolworths, BHS, Debenhams etc. IMO - thinking their 'name' can justify being 3x the price as elsewhere for the same (or similar) product. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket 1,626 Posted February 19 Site Supporter Share Posted February 19 Same with these fucking pizza companies like Dominoes etc. Charge about 3 times the price as any other (independent) takeaways, and then put offers on to make them cheaper. Cunts.
Youri McAnespie 809
Most of said offers are collection only an' all...

Site Supporter Spider 2,182 Posted February 19 Site Supporter Share Posted February 19 May I just check the spelling of gip in this context please? I always thought it was gyp, short for “being gypped” eg. Being overcharged for groundwork on your driveway by a gang of transient east Europeans with connections to Bucharest? It doesn’t matter really, but I’m a massive pedant.

Cunts. Pizzas are outrageous. £15 a dominoes pizza and it is sugary shite. Vitamins and off the shelf medicines are massively marked up and have the same ingredients as the cheap ones Edited February 19 by Rudy
bolton_blondie 150
It's like people who pay £2 for a packet or neurofen. Can get paracetemol for 19p in home bargains. Same stuff.

It's all the sundries with a curry though - a pain in the arse to get everything together at once, and onion bhajis are very hard to replicate at home. The actual curries are usually a rip-off though. 1 hour ago, Spider said: May I just check the spelling of gip in this context please? I always thought it was gyp, short for “being gypped” eg. They're interchangeable - like gypsy and gipsy. I only put 'gyp/gip' as originating from honourable tinkers in my twenties, after being gypped. Back in the day when they were honourable 'tinker' wasn't pejorative as they mended metal goods, tinker being another name for tinsmith. 1 hour ago, bolton_blondie said: It's like people who pay £2 for a packet or neurofen. She'd told me there was none of my prescribed meds in with a disinterested shrug so I chimed in to ruin her pitch, told him "Those co-codamol at £1.25 are the exact same thing, mate, just take them with a cup of coffee or can of coke for the caffeine". He must've sensed my status as a quack/mountebank 'Dr' because he took my advice. 40 minutes ago, boltondiver said: Go to Home Bargains? Yes, and boost our transfer kitty in the process. Always get own brand 'ofen or 'amol. Pence rather than pounds. Another one that's a rip off. Spices and pulses: get down to House of Raja then look at supermarkets etc. Robbing bastards at tesco etc, no need.

Dimron 77
All about marketing. We live next to a river and the missus was about to buy 10 sandbags for fifty something quid on the internet. Soon stopped her, went to Jewsons and got 100 bags for £0.40each which take about £1.00 of bagged sand each. I should set up my own website to sell sandbags but can't be arsed
