So many settings these days on the clobber you want to wash on so many programmes.

Only one setting on mine, same with the iron and hoover... she hasn't changed since I married her

What the fuck is happening to this site?

Washing machines have a tendency to be shit for most of their lifetime, but have a spell of about 6 weeks where they work well which fools a a lot of people into thinking that they're brilliant.

I’m not sure the plastic outer of the pods melts sufficiently at 30deg.

They don't. They stick to your clothes too.

Leaving shining slug trails on your clothes.

Washing powder in general is shite. Gel all the way 👍

I’ve been advised to occasionally rotate so that the washing machine is fully used.

Are lefties usually vociferous about detergent prices following previous budget announcements?  I really hadn't noticed.

Remember the old tub washing machines they used to have a round filter which collected lose fluff, used to dip my hand in the filter and collect it and dispose of it when I was a kid, who said the 60s were boring. 😂

Don't you clean out the filter on the washing machine?

Apart from soggy hair and fluff, there's always at least one pound coin there. Science hasn't worked out why.

A £1 cost me £200 last summer for a new drum. It wasn't even 6 months old the fucking thing either. Obviously my fault for not checking the 42 year olds childs pockets.

New law coming out that domestic appliance manufacturers have to make spares more readily available.

Interesting as they have always kept proper manuals behind paywalls up to now.

Probably still cost more for a replacement control board than new machine

Reminds me of the home-use laser printer I bought. First ink replacement taught me a valuable lesson when the ink cartridge was double the price of the printer.

Bloke I once knew had his own IT company and gave local schools a load of printers free of charge

It was on the condition that they bought the cartridges from him. Good PR and a nice little earner
