The 27 year-old was staying in a hotel 50 yards from the stadium, but he failed to appear at the 1.30pm meeting time. I don’t see Evatt being a soft touch and I’m sure the loan agreement takes into account the possibility it may be cut short. I hope not and that Maddison buckles down but if he doesn’t then he needs to be sent packing before he damages the atmosphere within the squad. If he’s sleeping in until gone 1.30 then it’s a sure-fire guarantee that he’s not going to bed at a reasonable hour. 27 years old single lad living a fairly luxury life having someone cook, tidy, make beds, etc., must be bored shitless. Wasn’t Kev Nolan given the job of chaperoning Andy Carol because he had exactly the same attitude as Maddison? Maybe our maverick needs someone to make sure he’s not a dick.
