When we drop off and invite them on, then it puts Williams under more pressure. I didn't mind Dapo going off as we were already dropping deeper, and defending isn't his strongest point.

Saying that, Fonz wasn't up to much neither.

Perhaps a fourth midfielder wouldn't have done amiss if we are going to sit so deep.

Morecambe definitely going to have a go, so we may create some chances, but we'll need to take them you'd expect.

I genuinely didn't realise Fonz had come on until about 2 minutes to go.

Once Dapo & Isgrove went off that was the end of us as an attacking threat. We hung on, by the skin of our teeth. I suppose we'd have all taken 6 points from Salford(a) Grimsby (a) and Carlisle (h)

2 wins from those three games is better than a win and two draws but it was who we lost to rather than the fact we lost at all.

Seven points from nine and its job done given one of them is Morecambe.

The trouble with us is we don't kill teams off. We invite that pressure on. And the reason for that is two-fold, we never do anything from set pieces and goals aren't being contributed to any degree from around the pitch. Actually, there's a third reason, just too many missed chances.

Anyway we'd have been amazed to be told we'd be in this situation in January.

Promotion head-to-head with the mighty Morecambe. The world throws up some strange scenarios!

Only caught last 20 minutes, looks to me we are running on fresh air, Morecambe flying, I’m genuinely worried about us getting over the line.

Me too. Im hoping sarce is back and Gilks fit. Think John is out. Definite squeaky bum time

If john is out, id prefer we went with jackson, assuming hes been keeping his eye in

Yep. Prefer a left footer in there.

Hope John is fit though- someone above said he wouldn't be missed- well I thought he was solid and offered a bit going forward too. Cracking cross for Lee too. He will be a miss.

John has been poor recently but almost back to his best tonight. Definitely our best option at left back if he is fit

Spot on . John will be a massive loss defensively and just as important by linking up with Dapo . It wasn't a coincidence the joy they had down that side when he went off ( not a slight against Brockbank). Definitely could do with good news on this one but I doubt it.

I like Brockbank, but we definitely lost something down the left side as he kept cutting back in, or gave possession away.

I’ve given up thinking we are going to bag 3/4 and make it easy for ourselves. Probably unrealistic now at this stage of the season.

But I’ll take 1-0 all day long, however it comes.

Grit, determination and resilience are the factors that are going to see us go up and I think we’ll see this against Morecambe too.

Yep, still a loan for a loan so shouldn’t be an issue.

May drop Delaney for a proper goalie though.

You're right about the partnership on the left. Nothing against Brockbank, but two right footers on the left makes things more awkward.

Similarly, the understanding between Jones and Isgrove is good and provides both defensive solidity, and an attacking presence.
