Seeing us what seemed like minutes from going out of business was the lowest of the low, and I know people will say it’s only football, but it genuinely felt like one of the lowest points of my life. Sleepless nights wondering if my boyhood club would be around in the morning.

This was the hardest, most difficult part. Most of my friends are liverpool, city and united,  they rarely go to games and just didn't get the anger and upset this caused. The constant questions of, who will you follow if you do go out of business and the surprise when I would just say BWFC of course. But this whole season has felt different, a corner well and truly turned and a club I fucking love to bits again.

Anyway no nervous, sleepless nights here. 7 pints and a bottle of pinot noir saw to that.

Just got to nurse my head to 3 o'clock.

COYWM

To stop constipation?

Well, even my non football loving other half (aside from bunking off school to watch Ginola train) is looking forward to this afternoon.

Beers in, food prepped, flag out of the window in a totally let's annoy the neighbours way. South London is Bolton today, wish I was at home to enjoy it but to those there have a great time.

Come on you whites.

The day we were saved a truly bizarre thing occurred. Living in Yorkshire our local evening news is Yorkshire TV think you can tune to local channels but never, hardly watch the news. That flicking through channels it came up as Granada Reports talking about Bolton and Bury. Watched for about 2 minutes then went to the ground for the saved announcement. Watched it quite emotional texting a Bolton lives local, his news was still Yorkshire.
Never known it happen before or since although speaking to someone ITK it can happen for technical reasons but was bloody wonderful.

Ilkley cricket club won't know what's hit it hopefully this evening although has already declared he will need an hour to get ready after game.

Gather found ladies, Rudy has a story to provide a bit of nostalgia

Started off being a wanderers fan as my granddad took me, all kids at school supported United even wore the kits, this was around the Cantona era, they were winning everything but never went

I couldn’t understand supporting a team you would never go to watch especially when one was down the road

Si many highs and lows Liverpool away, league cup final losses, reading play off final, relegation, promotion, Europe, 5-0

Its been an absolute rollercoaster.

The last decade has been awful, seen the soul ripped out of my club and town, it’s been heartbreaking.

Seeing us what seemed like minutes from going out of business was the lowest of the low, and I know people will say it’s only football, but it genuinely felt like one of the lowest points of my life. Sleepless nights wondering if my boyhood club would be around in the morning.
Football had become a worry rather than an enjoyment.

Enter Sharon and FV even under Keith Hill there was a little bit of optimism that we were in better hands, our youngest ever side made up of kids getting a 0-0 against professional opposition was an immense sense of pride.

Ian Evatt was a breath of fresh air, I didn’t know much about him (turns out I’ve been on a course at the same time as him, small world) The way he spoke was energetic, @Casino said he was like Rioch, he was right, he’s honest, open to make mistakes and learn from them. You believe what he says, full confidence in him all the time.

Even the worst results under IE I still believed he was the right man, he just needed time and support. He got that in abundance from the board, and was trusted to bring the right players in.

The football we are playing now, the buzz around the town, the unity with fans is the best it has been since BSA.

Every single player from Santos To Maddison has played a role this season and I’m so so proud of them all it feels like that  Big Sam team, it feels like that promotion team.

This is a big day in our clubs history, we are almost there, ready to dip at the finish line and bring it home.

I have ever confidence that we will this afternoon.

I hope I get the chance to bump into Sharon one day and say thank you for saving my club I’ll never forget it

Can’t be there today because of work but if you’re going down, be safe have fun and have a beer or two for me

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING

COYFWM!

Get Joey Barton in.

If you watch the local news on +1 Ani, it’s always Granada Reports instead of Yorkshire.

Well, I’m full of a cold today, streaming nose, sore throat, raspy cough and a splitting headache but the bubbly’s already open ready for the celebration at 5pm. I’d even take a 1-0 today with no complaints!! 🥳🤩👍
